When i playing GTA IV i got 21 FPS Here is my PC specs WINDOWS XP-VISTA ULTIMATE THEME(SERVICE PACK 3) GRAPHIC CARD-NVIDIA 8600 GT(256 MB,OVERCLOCKED) RAM-2 GB PROCESSOR-DUAL CORE 1.6 I dont know what is it,always low FPS,but in houses it was much better Can someone help me!? Dude learn to read the system requirements, you should be lucky to get past 12fps. A dual-core isn't even a Core 2 Duo even if it was a Core 2 Duo it's still wouldn't make the system requirements. calv21 Posted January 16, 2009 Share Posted January 16, 2009 (edited) TBH I Would be very surprised if he was gettin 21FPS. my core 2 duo e6600 4mb cach with 3gb corsair xms ram and an nvidia 7950gt xt 512 probs only gets about 25fps! but then again ive had my computer 2 and a half years! Yea finances tell me about it. Scrapping by sucks doesnt it? Im with you there! But if you do end up building another computer. You can build a decent AMD gaming rig like mine and wont be disappointed but i did spend 1k on my computer. Overclocking wont do any good. Because more than likely your CPU and GPU are going to bottleneck. Bottlenecking is a no no in gaming definitely in a power hungry game like GTA IV. Good Luck! MrChainsaw Posted January 17, 2009 Share Posted January 17, 2009 You mentioned before, that you can run Crysis on high settings. In my opinion, a 8600GT can't run Crysis on those settings. Check over your video card again. To improve FPS, you could lower your game settings little bit and also try different tweaks can be find from this forum.
