aad
thats a handy way to skip time ingame, just move your system time a few hours and it advances ingame too. Dont imitate, recreate or copy just get your own ideas. Simplicity makes difficulty easy Just for dev's of the myriad team http://www.aadblaauw.6x.to/
boomer678
Will this make time go by alot slower? Like real time. like 1 hour is normally like 75 seconds. Will it really be one hour?
C06alt
Yes 1 hour is 1 hour. It stays in sync.

boomer678
Now all we need is real time weather ^^^^^^^ possibly. get weather from weather .com for your location. put it into code. game reads code and puts weather to that :DDD
Flat Face
yeah thats so very possible lets set up a website that moniters all the weather of every possible location around the world and then have it send out codes to our GTA's which will in turn edit the weather ingame. apart from that idea... this is a great mod

Then don't say anything at all This is cool idea. GTA III or VC had the realtime weather plugin i'm sure it did! Does the GTA IV file structure make it more difficult to implement? Edit : This is the one http://www.gtagaming.com/downloads/gta-vice-city/tools/527 Edited January 17, 2009 by Woodee

C06alt
GTA_XP made a post somewhere about that problem , was one of the reasons i made it. I'm glad it helps. if it really is dark outside like said before you can set your system clock back while you play. don't forget to fix it to normal when your finished. Now i got to try to remember to play before 18:00 to meet french tom at 18:00 gmt tomorrow. this is getting confusing

Woodee
it is a pity that GTA still mandates you lose 6 hrs when saving...even if the in game time stays the same

Shof
THIS ONLY WORKS FOR EUROPEAN TIMES! No fair I live in new york, so I want my -5 gmt time. How do I change it? the bulk of this problem, which is what i also notice is not the TIME ZONE but the TIME FORMAT. In Europe and other country's they used the 24-hour (military) time instead of the america 12 hour time (am/pm). Somewhere in the control panel, you can change your system clock to this format. Is there a setting in this mod to either change the game time to 12hour time so that the game time reads 11pm as 11pm instead of
C06alt
Is it always daylight or what precisely happens in your 12 hour system Shof? sun rises but never sets? or it crashes or what.
Shof
here in ny, the sun rises around 7:15 am and sets around 5 pm 12 hour time - 24 hour time: 12 am - 00 1am - 01 2am - 02 3am - 03 4am - 04 5am - 05 6am - 06 7am - 07 8an - 08 9am - 09 10am - 10 11am - 11 12pm - 12 1pm - 13 2pm - 14 3pm - 15 4pm - 16 5pm - 17 6pm - 18 7pm - 19 8pm - 20 9pm - 21 10pm - 22 11pm -
C06alt
Assuming the problem is the sunsets and sunrises are out of sync to real NY at this time of year. Altho you can change the month in the game the sunrise and sunset times are unaffected so I didn't bother. You can expect a little dysnc from game to reality at these times. chngdman
It will be so awesome if you make it match weather by syncing with some zip code entry service online too!
Woodee
It will be so awesome if you make it match weather by syncing with some zip code entry service online too! like weather.com ? There was a vice city utility that did that... linked it earlier in this thread I think
