ron123
I already uses all the twicks and can play smooth max settings 1920x1200 gameplay for 20-30 min (no loss in quality). I wanted to play a longer gameplay and I found that that the game becomed slower as a result of an overheated CPU, my normal CPU temperature is 45-50 celsius and the game is unplayable for me in 60-64 celsius, So I and others just need a new cooler or fan, or some fan control program with instructions. So if someone knows a nice program. please post it.

What type of CPU cooler are you using, stock ? There was a guy on this forum stating to use a program (Rmclock) to disable throttling, which could really keep the cpu speed but at cost of burning the cpu. If the cpu temp is getting bigger, there is an cooling issue.

I actually use it from time to time for more stable frame rate, steal I got the heat problem in gta IV with or without twicking the CPU performance. noVa
changed your thermal paste recently? dust? it's more than likely your cpu fan will be controlled dynamically anyway, but some motherboards come with software to control the fans so check your motherboard manufacturer website. although 60-65 degrees isn't all that hot for a quad under pressure on a stock cooler - but could be better using simple maintenance. also what program are you using to monitor your temperature? is that the core temperature? I didn't change anything recently, I got this problem since the release of GTA IV, The rig is pretty new, I bought it in the last september. Dust?- maybe, I clean the fans once in 1-2 months. I think that I have this option in my BIOS, but I don't sure that it is better to use it. I am using "rmclock_235_bin" and "CPU-Z". I gave a temp of one core, all the cores change in the same time and the max difference is 2-4 degrees between them.
noVa
tried using realtemp or coretemp - used both and are pretty accurate. as i said 60-65 is within normal limits, does yor motherboard have an auto overclocking feature (where when in stressful situations the motherboard will adjust your cpu speed)? if so disable it and see if it still gets as hot
