tappleton Posted January 16, 2009 Share Posted January 16, 2009 OK, so I'm not hopeful of getting this fixed but thought I'd ask anyway. I've jumped through all the hoops Rockstar and Microsoft want me to and have signed up for the Social Club and the Games for Windows Live stuff. When I fire up the game I get to the menu screen and click start I get the first couple of pages of text about Rockstar and its licences but then get a screen that reads: "You are not signed in. You will need to sign in to save your progress and to be awarded achievements. Do you want to sign in now?" I have 2 options Press Enter for Yes or Escape for No. - Neither option works and the game just stops responding here. Well I am signed in to the Social Club and I've tried it signed into Games for Windows aswell. What could this be? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Auxrilla Posted January 16, 2009 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Go 2 start and 2 all programs then look for microsoft games for windows - live. Then open it. I've started up Microsoft Games for Windows and logged in and then minimised it to the taskbar. Yet when I start up GTA I still get the same message: "You are not signed in. You will need to sign in to save your progress and to be awarded achievements. Do you want to sign in now?" I don't get a mouse cursor to move around the screen and the two options Enter for Yes or Escape for No do not respond. Task Manager reports that GTAIV is Not Responding. Is it worth uninstalling and re-installing GTA or should I just give it up? I'm running XP Home with SP3 Intel Core 2 DUo 6600 @2.4Ghz Processor Integrated SoundMax Sound ATI HD4850 Graphics with 512mb 2gb Ram Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Auxrilla Posted January 17, 2009 Share Posted January 17, 2009 Have you update games for windows? You should get a message 2 update. If you have update it try re-installing and hope it works if not.
