Will a second hand copy of GTA IV work?

Hi, GTA IV will not work on my computer, despite the fact I was told in the shop that it would not work with my specs, I still went ahead and bought it........ after a few pints I went home and tryed to play... but it was awful slow.. horribly slow, even with EVERYTHING turned down.

 

So it's been gathering dust in the cupboard and I've been doing a bit of ebaying, so I'm wondering can I sell it? I remember reading once about some security measures in the game to stop piracy... If I sell the game, will someone else be able to use it or is the game only playable on the computer it was installed and registered on?

the game has no install limit, so you can install it on as many machines as you want.

 

Did you sign up for a live account though? As far as I know, once the account is created the CD key is locked to it and there's no way to delete the account to re-separate them. And then there's the whole rock star social club thing.

 

If you signed up for everything, if you passed along the user/pass info to whoever you sold the game onto they'd have a full copy of it then.

then whats the purpose of license revoking if you have to do all of this? At least i thought when you revoke a license you remove any/all restrictions on that license
