jacemc
Even though the PC got this 'kick-ass-super-crazy-number-one-universe-champion-Editor', I still think that the 'GTA IV Madness 1-5' videos (which were made on the PS3) are the best videos out there. Closely followed by Ben Bujas videos. I'm not going on a rant about 'n0 sk33lz ediTARDS LAWL', but when I saw the editor (because I was planning on making a 'crashes' video), I immediately thought that I might as well not bother because nobody would watch a video without crazy camera angles and all that cool crap. But it's been all this time, and either I'm not lucky enough to stumble on a gem, or what? Is it just that it's too hard to wade through all the director-wannabes to get to a video with some real skill and time put into it, or is the editor not flexible enough or something else? So, PC players using the editor, tell me about it, and everybody say th31rz 'IMO'.
Magic_Al
The problem is actually the users, not the tools. There's a reason cinematography and editing are separate jobs in Hollywood -- they require talent and skill. I've seen some very cool stuff done with GTA IV's editor but there is a lot of junk to wade through. A lot of people put no effort into it at all but think they should post anyway. Skroting
I've seen some very cool stuff done with GTA IV's editor but there is a lot of junk to wade through. Absolutely. Too many people who just set the speed to 5 % and think it looks really cool even at the insanely boring moments. I shouldn't speak too loud, there are videos out there much better than mine. Anyways, there are two major great things with the editor, as I see it. One thing is the ability to use different angles. This is without a doubt a fantastic feature, but I think the best part is the ability to record something after it has happened. On PC it's "Wow, that was cool, I better record it!". On console it's "Wow, that was cool, too bad I didn't record it...". The potential for capturing good material is simply higher on PC.
Pantheon
but I think the best part is the ability to record something after it has happened This is by far the best part. EVERY game should have something like this, much cooler than the normal recording apps like Fraps, GameCam and stuff. Only downer is the low recording time.
