It only gets half, because we all know the downloadable content is just as long and as good as the original game, therefore the Xbox Version is twice as good if you buy the content. I'm so tired of hearing about these fanboys ejaculating all over their content, if this "EXCLUSIVE EPIC CONTENT" was release on the PS3, I doubt I would get it anyway. Now, of course some Xbox fanboy will come over and argue with me just because I have a different opinion. If you have a PS3, get the game for the PS3, and everyone else should just shut the f*ck up. Basically, if Sony was doing what Microsoft is doing I'd be a Sony supporter. Look at the history of consoles I've owned: NES SNES N64 Xbox PS2 Xbox 360 I jumped the Nintendo ship when I outgrew their games. I bought a PS2 just to play "San Andreas" without waiting 6 months for it to come on Xbox. It's all about offering great games and a great online experience and if Sony was doing that I would own a PS3. Unfortunately for them they're failing miserably. When Microsoft fails miserably I will no longer support them. That's why I'm not a fanboy. It's when you're loyal to a brand in spite of their many failings that you're a fanboy and in the current generation that actually describes most PS3 owners. I'm satisfied with what Microsoft has been doing but if the whole Xbox brand took a nosedive from one generation to the next like the Playstation one did I wouldn't stick it out with them. Let's just say for example that this happened and next generation Xbox started to suck royal ass and Playstation recovered and offered better games, online service, pricing etc. I'd be sitting here talking about how Sony was doing things better and that was the system to buy. I have no anti-Sony bias. If they offered a worthwhile product I'd buy it. I didn't even buy my 360 until at least a year after launch and I can't exactly remember when that was in relation to when the exclusive DLC was announced but I can honestly say that I would have bought a PS3 if it had been announced as Sony-exclusive. Even without DLC I was leaning towards the 360 as the Xbox was much better than the PS2 but if I was just some fanboy/loyalist I'd have a Gamecube and a Wii instead of any Sony or Microsoft consoles. To answer your question...First get the best TV you can to play on. HDTV is preferable. Get some good cables, HDMI if your TV has the connections, and you will be happy with the setup. Take a few minutes to setup the PS3, and don't forget to register on PSN (its free). Now GTA4 has to install at first, so go make a sandwich and maybe look over the map. As some have advised, do a few single-player missions first. You will get used to the targeting system and esp. driving. Start off on something easy in MP like Race and take it from there. When you get the PS3/GTA4, you will no doubt enjoy your new console/game. Definitely play through the single player first because online, you have access to all areas of the game. I dont think miserly DLCs should persuade someone not to buy a console. When there are many other great games on the ps3. Loads of exclusives such as Metal Gear Solid. And Killzone 2. Also developers ar ebarely tapping the potential of the ps3's power. Let the guy get whatever console he wants. I bought my PS3 November last year (Used my brother's PS3 up until that point), and couldn't be happier with it. Using R2 to drive feels weird And you should probably finish the story before doing multiplayer. There's no point in denying it. Actually I really don't care about it. I'd rather have the next full GTA game than just some DLC thats gonna last maybe 6-10 hours. Then what happens when you finish it? Your right back were you started. Your in the same city and nothing will be different than when you first purchased the DLC. Except for new multiplayer options and new radio stations. So I say f*ck the DLC and get working on the next GTA. At OP: Have fun with it. Definitely complete the story first and get a feel of how the vehicles drive now. You can't take turns doing 90mph anymore. Also if and when you make a PSN account add me. PSN: YourGreatUncle. super_slav Posted January 19, 2009 Share Posted January 19, 2009 and still people are buying only half a product, why not get a 360 and get the full GTA experience with DLC as well, you just know your going to buy this ps3 at the end of the month, then in feb when the DLC will come out you will want it then come back here and start moaning that you cant Get the DLC because you got a PS3, i personally had a go on my First PS3 the other week and was very dissapointed with the Graphics on certain games LBP is fun and fresh looking, but playing Midnight club LA on Ps3 absolutly sucked seriously reminded me of ps2 graphics compared to 360 and it was running at 1080 via HDMI so not that overly immpressed with it exspecially for the price. do us and yourself a favor get a 360. I agree the PS3 can suck doggy balls I hate them GTA IV laggs and freezes on the PS3 thats why I got it on XBOX 360 and I can have DLC and better graphics and a smoother framerate.
