It wasn't because I was malicious, or clever, or a bully, it was because... and get this... I was very nice and polite. I guess I never felt the urge to be a dick or vandalize or fight with teachers etc. I got along with all the teachers and the administration, the lunch ladies, and the custodial staff. Being nice and friendly with the lunch ladies got me free meals. Being nice and friendly to the custodial staff got them to let me into rooms I shouldn't have been in. Being nice and friendly to the teachers would let me get away with a late paper here and there. Being nice and friendly to the administrators got me the literal keys to the school building and damn near right to do whatever the f*ck I wanted. I guess I just got along with adults better than I did my peers right away freshmen year. It got to the point where I could get people out of detention just by my word, I'd vouch for them saying they didn't do what they were accused of and they'd get off (even if I wasn't really there to see at all.) I got to bring home school equipment like professional tv studio cameras and laptops and what have you. I just always brought everything back in good condition and all was good. Once you have access to the entire school, all the equipment inside of it, and no question about what your doing with it the types of shenanigans that can be played are near limitless. So basically what I'm saying is that be very nice and polite and don't be an ass, and don't f*ck around and you'll start getting special treatment after a short while. It seriously pays to be a good kid, and as long as you don't abuse (or don't get caught abusing said privledges) you'll be all right. Get them to trust you and don't give them a reason to doubt it. He jumped pretty bad, got embarrassed, then sent me to the principal who pulled me out of the next two classes to council me on showing respect to teachers. That day was priceless. floof Posted January 16, 2009 Share Posted January 16, 2009 This is my 5th year at my high school (I'm so smart I stayed for another year lol, jk) So I haven't gotten any punishments this year, two of my friends where suspended in the first two weaks for having knifes, another expelled for have fireworks, numb chucks, and even more (Since this guy went down he told on my two friends, low lifes ) Regular Suspension: 10 days, sometimes 5. If you get any more than 10 days and your bellow 18 you have a meeting with your parents and the dean. With drugs your expelled no matter what. Of course, I've never done anything physical, but my vocabulary has become a bit questionable in class. I guess I've just got relaxed teachers. I also send text messages in front of them, and they never even give a sh*t. Closest I ever came to having my phone taken away, was when my chemistry teacher commented on what a "nice calculator" I had. Also, regarding the first post, how old are you? My friends and i were discussing about fat teachers and there was our social science teacher who was very weird, it was only her belly that was fat and everything else was normal. I made a funny comment that she might be pregnant(but the thing is that her fat belly had been the same from the first time i saw her, 5 years ago) Now for the surprising part, that teacher was standing right behind me and i noticed my friends just froze with weird faces. What happened next was terrible and it's a long story. I swore after that day that I would never ever speak about any teacher without scanning the entire area for presence of the teacher. I told my mate to stop swinging his metal ruler around, so the teacher says to me, "BP now!" (BP being detention, but in lesson time and it gets you in more trouble). I said, "no, please give me another chance I was just warning him about nearly cutting me with his ruler." "OK," says the teacher. The next day, the deputy principal shows up in homegroup and gives me an all-day BP slip. I told her what had happened so we went to talk to the relief teacher, who said that she hadn't given me a second chance. So I got all day in BP for not going there in the first place. Curshes... Ed: In primary school, I got time-out at lunch time for going in the girls toilets...as I walked out olf the guys tilets. Nom I hadn't been in the chicks toilets, some guy said to the teacher on yard duty that I had gone in the chicks toilets. And then, on the Friday of that week, my mate came up to with a tennis racquet. I was sitting on a bench with my legs slightly apart. "G'day Jack," I said to him (this was about 6,7, years ago now). Then BAM! he smashed me in the nuts with the tennis racquet. So I swear real loudly and get time-out. My school was actually really laid back, so nobody got "detentions", but if you did something silly you'd get forced to pick up trash during lunch. Next step was suspension. But my Biology teacher was the only person in the school who handed out detentions, which was pretty much 10 mins during lunch. Was no big deal. I got it one day because I finished my test early and started listening to music through headphones because I was as bored as f*ck. Music players were widely accepted by teachers (provided you don't use them during lectures), but then he decided to go all apesh*t on me because he apparently didn't accept music players, so he gave me a ten minute detention during lunch. I rotated a bunch of them 90 degrees in the graphics control panel, it made it difficult for the next people to use the PC's since the graphics settings were only accessible with a little known exploit . MWC Posted January 16, 2009 Share Posted January 16, 2009 I thank god every day that here in europe we dont have the same detention system as in the states, here you get graded for your behavior accoringly from 1 to 5 (5 being the best) worst i had was 4 for skipping classes again 3,2 for getting drunk on the school excursion (and when i say drunk i mean smashed) 1 for fighting 1 being the last warning before getting kicked out, in second year now i have 4 for skipping classes again hopefully it will change to 5 in the second period Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
