camdean Posted January 14, 2009 Share Posted January 14, 2009 Intel Q6660 @ 3.24Ghz 6GB DDR2 @ 900Mhz ATI 4870x2 2 GB GDDR5 28" Hanns-G monitor @ 1920x1200 60hz Since buying the game I have FPS problems every minute, on High settings I get RESC10 out of memory crashes, on medium settings the buildings flicker away when driving fast when I turn the camera it happens as well, multiplayer is a cheaters 'gay parade' where the 'crappiest' player comes first, my speakers don't work through the centre/bass channel and my joypad just won't work (despite the amazing efforts of RacerS).. I have installed Vista 3 times, tried alternate drivers for my GFXcard, tried older drivers for my GFXcard, I have tried the tweaks on these forums and I have tried de-clocking my memory/CPU... Are we getting a new patch to fix these problems or shall I just stop worrying about my favourite game of all time ?? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Have you though of installing XP32 (on another partition)? Maybe that could fix some things for you... on my rig GTA IV runs better under XP. Also, I noticed you were in this topic once: ATI 4870X2 - Dynamic Shadow Questions, but you didn't tell us if you're dynamic shadows are working or not (you were gonna). Agreed GTAIV runs better on WinXP 32Bit SP3, don't use 64bit version, you will got missing textures, lag like a tortoise and sometime BSOD!!! camdean Posted January 16, 2009 Author Share Posted January 16, 2009 I just joined a 15 player race, I was in first place then a guy called 'kamikaze910916' suddenly appeared in front of me, I thought it was lag the first time but then it kept happening, he was making his car spawn ahead of me when I was in first place !!
