Toxicity² Posted March 17, 2009 Share Posted March 17, 2009 (edited) I tried the OP's suggestion of setting farclp to 3500, and my framerate was exactly the same as before. Then I tried setting it to 750 and I got probably +4-7 FPS, so I guess it's different for everyone. Also, for some reason, setting it to 500 made my performance worse. Inscrese the reflection amount in timecyc.dat, but that's a lot harder than using ENB Series Oh, roads get more reflective too, if you don't use ENB, reflection of the road and of the cards are controlled by the same value per weather in timecyc.dat Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

For Windows 7 when you press any button like if your driving a car, the game lags/stutters like a bitch, ok now heres the solution! a) First type on start bar "msconfig", now click "Services", and search for "Windows Event Log", now untick it and apply and ok. Now it will ask you to restart the computer, now do so, or it dosn't ask you just click start and restart manually! 2. Defragging the Grand Theft Auto IV directory can give up to 5 - 10+ FPS increase, or you can just download the Contig 3. Turning OFF "Clip Capture" has given people up to 10-50 FPS increase I read on another forum, I don't think this works on some computers, but it works on most! Make sure ou turn it off at the very start of game (When it has "Rockstar Social Club" videos on the menu click "Game" and turn it off, or if your in-game already turn it OFF and restart the game! 4. ENBSeries is a mod by Boris Vorontsov (this version only works on lower patches (not patch 6 & 7, not sure about 5), well Very High Reflection hurts on GTAIV, so by turning reflection to low and by turning the ENBSeries mod on, the game has better reflection, but also better FPS. 5. Securom is a FPS killer, (ONLY DO THIS IF YOU HAVE BOUGHT THE GAME, IF YOU HAVN'T BOUGHT IT "f*ck OFF". There are many cracks out there, all they replace is the LaunchGTAIV.exe, which is a part of securom, by using a fake launcher, it removes securom and gives fps boost. /sticky Edited June 8, 2010 by FitbikeSTR2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
