30FPS @ Benchmark on Amd 64 3800x2 + 8800GT

Recommended Posts

Hey guys it's been a while (last time i was struggling to get 20fps's) I'm here just to report that i managed to get almost 30fps's @ GTA's benchmark by overclocking my CPU to 250mhz of FSP making it similar to a 4800 x2 and by using amd Fusion for gaming.

I Noticed that on low memory systems the Amd Fusion is very critical because it disable some services that are useless.

I also had to lower my settings a little bit, but not much!

Check out for yourselfs and use this as a good reference and as a proof that if you are a modest gamer this old cpu would do the trick!

For flamers and stuff: no there are no major slowdowns near the end of the game that prevents me from ending the game as i already finished the game with two endings.

Here's the benchmark Text

Statistics

Of course it runs like a charm if you have it at 1, myself I can't enjoy the game with a traffic density lower than 40 though, like driving around in an abandoned city.

CPU to 250mhz of FSP

FSB? That makes sense, that means you are running 1000mhz, up from 800? Makes sense to me, and anyone who knows what I'm on about when I type this smile.gif

you're weird,

anyway the 4800+ is a 2.5ghz cpu while the 3800 is a 2.0ghz cpu

of course that the 4800 has a larger cache but in terms of how fast the clock goes i managed to overclock this as fast as a 4800x2
