Codey2098
Ok, well I've been in these forums annonomously for a few weeks (since I purchased GTAIV), trying in vein to fix my problems with this game. I can play for anything from 1minute to 5 minutes if I'm lucky, the a fatal crash/softlock/hardlock/spontaneous reboot. I've tried basically everything suggested here with no improvement. Latest Drivers Latest MS crap (SP3 and SP3 fixes all upto date) Latest vidcard bios Check overheating problems Varify hardware configuration Varify hardware not faulty Varify windows settings Try single display Try commandline.txt options, from memory limits to everything else posted try gta settings the list goes on Oh and yes, my computer does exceed the recommended specs. My computer runs a variety of other recent games flawlessly. So I am left with the only idea is to wait for a patch, so that leads to the questions: When can we hope that patch#2 be released? Time for Rock* to fess up and salvage a bit of goodwill from us frustrated would-be players. The game was obviously released too early (intime for the xmas rush). Then those execs are probably pointing at the old "piracy" fallback for poor sales, when it is now widely known and reported on game sites that the game is anywhere from buggy to completely unplayable on pc. Nobody to blame but ur corporate overseerers imho. If a patch which fixes the game is not forthcoming, I'll have to return this defective product to the retailer for a refund. (yes we are covered by federal law in Australia for defective products which don't do what they are advertised to do) Kind regards Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/391860-when-to-expect-patch-2/ Share on other sites
