This gets rid of Microsoft's useless crap from the game and making me don't have to end the RGSC process everytime I get in game. Recommended for all people who don't like the MP. Yup exactly it gets rid of all the main problems that the game has... For now MP is a lost but I would rather play happily then to not to play at all. The multiplayer on the 360 version was great. Yea i had those same issues. The way i solved them was to never pause the game for more than 5 mins. The Disk will eventually stop spinning thus results in a crash. So i never paused it unless i needed the map. That was only on the 360 now the PC im able to pause it for 8 hrs if i wanted to and it would pick back right up! No I myself havent coded since My years in high school (Life got in the way) but i do know its hard and very hard to find whats wrong and fix the issues. Its fine with me for all of you to complain but i will laugh at all of your faces when the second patch comes out and it solves most of the issues that ppl are complaining about. IF you think that this games coding is crap go and look at all the other gta's and see how many lines of coding there is and how much they have improved since the first. More and More coding is being used for every release of GTA. So for more and more coding there is bound to be more and more problems at first. I just dont understand how so many of you hate this game just because of the fact that your low end cpu doesnt play it on high textures or plays it with a constant FPS. Just look at the f*cking game! Have you even witnessed what goes on in the game? Do i have to list yet again what can go on in the matters of seconds in the game? All I have to say is R* has made another master piece its next real thing to what reality looks like everyday in a city. (besides the major killing sprees) Zack you complaining over and over again isnt solving anything. All of you who have problems with the game just need to wait some more. The game came out for the PC a lil over a month ago. And in that month they at least made a patch and the GPU Companies have even made patches for our Video Cards. Thats progress to me. All of you who are using integrated Video cards Need to grow up and buy a big boy GPU Card. Usually I play for 20-30 minutes, then the screen freezes a few milliseconds, then the pagefile start to go completely nuts, and then the game gradually stutters more and more untill I log out in disgust. After xliveless the game froze a few milliseconds after the usual 20-30 minutes of play, but the stutter was almost gone, except for a few seconds during the entire playtest, definitely try this out if you are suffering from the "memory leak", the leak is still there, but the damage it used to do is not too noticable now. I made a quick stutter test video after 90 minutes of gameplay, just disregard the missing texture +corruption, it was perfectly fine when I played and edited the clip, the texture flickering only appeared when I rendered the clip, the thing to look after here is how there is no stuttering even though Im blazing down the freeway in a turismo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. The only thing that is broken with xliveless is autosaves, but comming from GTA:SA they dont really matter at all ......... I imagined that after all these whiny ppl that the admin would lock this thread guess not Nag Nag Nag Do your self a favor and Everyone in here who is complaining just doesnt know how hard it actually is to make a sandbox game like this and to play as good as it does its a miracle. I get almost 40 Fps anytime during the game. Yes i get slow downs and pop ins but ALL GTA's Do this. Few patches will help with the optimizing but the pop ins? nah i dont think so they will be heavily reduced but they will still be there no matter what. I think gta 4 is an awesome game, both for its game play and story line and for its engine and technical buzz. I can slowly run it with 15 fps and its still fun. That sounds like your dvd-rom. Once they start to go bad, they do exactly that. You could always try to buy a replacement on ebay, but you have to match the one you have. Different brands don't seem to work, maybe different firmwire? Not sure. I think there is 3 brands for the xbox 360, and they have to be the xbox 360 version. I find internet play not as fun as LAN parties. And Yes The Xbox 360 is That's why we call it modding LoL. Here's my choice of games: Left 4 Dead Gears of War 1 GTA 4 Gears of War 2 Yes they all are FPS but a lot of the games don't support LAN. So I don't buy them. I hate xbox live! I got a refund from where I got the game, and bought Left 4 Dead, which is an AWSOME game to say the least, and I never really liked online shooters so that really is something comming from me. then I downloaded GTA4 in a cracked version that bypasses most of the malware and rootkit software they force upon their costumers. This cracked version plays ALOT better than the one I paid good money for. If the reason that these f*ckers cant make proper ports is that they are so scared of piracy, that they need to employ lowly trickery (besides the usual bullsh*t, lying, bluff and banter we have come to expect from anyone trying to turn a buck on anything). lets just fullfill all their worst nightmares untill they realise that the paying costumers are the ones they always was. People who pay for the sh*t they use if others where involved with it, and then there are "the others" who will never pay, and who will still get to play the game for free even if they made a copy protection system that requires you to take the physical disk, all the way to R* who manually would scratch a serialnumber into the cd with a numbered dull knife, then it would still be cracked and circulate freely after a couple of days. it was always like that, it will always be like that. So, the guys who are going to put bread into the cabin box of the fine selection of ferraris that R*'s founders drive around in, are ...me.. And I DO NOT WANT SPYWARE AND ROOT KITS: I DID NOT ASK TO BE A MEMBER OF 12 DIFFERENT SOCIAL NETWORKs...I just wanted a fair deal. I get to use this software without hickups, and performance cripppled by sh*t like sercurom, and I will pay you 50 bucks for the previlige. It seems to be such an easy trade, but it is not, because the guy im trading with suspect that I am a thief at every turn....guess what....now I am. congrants R*, you converted a pirate! But it is not all you'r fault, the arrogant ways of gamepublishers in general did all the footwork, you were just the "tipper". A shame i got the refund, I just discovered that steam is hacked, and hordes of Pirates are playing on the steam servers, and openly bragging about the fact. I think that is hillarious at best. If something like steam, with a 100% online game, cannot stop the forces of scumbags (and students) without money playing their game, on their centralized system, what the hell makes securom think that it has a chance in hell? All that sh*t will ever do is piss people off, and thus it is very good that we have forums like this one, where we can get to went. Admitted, I only came back to smirk at how right I was. Rockstar did f*ck people, and the larger part of it is paranoia, and you can download the next patch from www.hellhasfrosenover.com . Good luck, oh and what got me into the debate again before the above senseless ramble was the fact that chngdman....you are such an annoying c*nt....and wrong....about everything apparently, but that does not stop you from flashing it loudly and proudly!. ID software (just to name one) has been aggresvely pushing for hardware manufacturers taking "measures" to limit the spread and use of pirated software. In other words, they want to approach a problem not created by their lifeline supporters (those that buy) by creating problems for that same group of people to the point of where the hardware you buy, may not neccerily do what you want it to do, if it hasnt been approved of. They use the misleading "to prevent piracy", but the method by which this would (not be) accomplished makes everybody a suspect by default. Obviously this is bad, and if i have to cut out for you why this is bad, you are so stupid that you would not understand it anyway if I tried, and I know that the auto response from these flesh-bots is "well if you have nothing to hide". You dont even have to take that idea to any extreme before you are in the middle of Orwells nightmares. Why not cameras in your bedroom linked to a "safety control center", you are not doing anything in there other people arent, do you have anything to hide I wonder?, do you f*ck your kids there? the dog? why wont you accept such a small measure to protect the safety of everybody, and especially the breadwinners. A shame i got the refund, I just discovered that steam is hacked, and hordes of Pirates are playing on the steam servers, and openly bragging about the fact. I think that is hillarious at best. If something like steam, with a 100% online game, cannot stop the forces of scumbags (and students) without money playing their game, on their centralized system, what the hell makes securom think that it has a chance in hell? All that sh*t will ever do is piss people off, and thus it is very good that we have forums like this one, where we can get to went. Admitted, I only came back to smirk at how right I was. Rockstar did f*ck people, and the larger part of it is paranoia, and you can download the next patch from www.hellhasfrosenover.com . Good luck, oh and what got me into the debate again before the above senseless ramble was the fact that chngdman....you are such an annoying c*nt....and wrong....about everything apparently, but that does not stop you from flashing it loudly and proudly!. Apparently hardcore fans reflect the reality view of the gaming company itself... Ya sad sad truth, all games can be pirated, just takes someone to do it. Doesn't matter the protection, it can always be pirated. At least until we see some servers that only play the game from online (PERIOD!). If anyone knows what I mean? Nothing locally except stored variables, that check themselves. That would stop cheating, pirating, and a lot of other sh*t. But nothing is fast enough to do that yet, might take 20+ years. But you are going to pirate just to prove a point, its tards like you (I won't explcitly mention any names) that will force the devs to keep putting heavy handed DRM measures into games.
