Katalix
Well, by now most people have heard of the "December 21, 2012 Apocalypse" It was predicted by the Mayans, Nostradamus, and now even some scientists are saying it COULD happen. There is a TV show on the History Channel about the end of the world about the Mayans and Nostradamus predicting the end of the world. Try and catch it sometime. It is pretty convincing. There are many "guesses" as to how it will happen. 1. Pole Shifts. 2. The Planet Nibiru (Crosses between the Sun and the Earth ever 3600 years *So it says* 3. Global Warming 4. Denser gravitational pulls A cool video I found on youtube of Niburu vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv It is said if you look at the Sun and look right, you can see Nibiru next to it. I remember going to Gamestop one day to pick up a copy of CoD:WaW when my father stops in the middle of the parking lot and says he saw it. He took a picture of it too. Pretty creepy. I believe the Nibiru 2012 theory. What about you?
Lt. Dan
There is no such thing as planet Nibiru. Your dad either saw Mercury, Venus, Mars, or another visible planet. 2012 isn't very far away. If it was as big as these tinfoil hate people say, it would be noticeably visible in the sky.
Mad Tony
No, no, NO! Every single apocalypse prediction has been wrong. What makes this one anymore credible? Honestly, I can't wait until the 22nd December 2012 so then I can say "I told you so" to anybody who actually believed this. Oh, and the Mayans didn't predict the end of the world in 2012. All they predicted was change or something like that, I'm not entirely sure. They definitely didn't predict the end of the world though. Not that I believe anything the Mayans said though, because I don't.
Jake
Whether anything is going to actually happen or not in 2012, it's one of the most interesting times to live in right now. And one of the most interesting subjects to talk, read, and watch about.

BloodOcean
Sadly, people these days will believe anything they're told. It seems like every couple of years there's another "Nostro-dumbass" prediction and people go bonkers. It's all fairy tales
Stefan.
It is also predicted in the bible And everything the bible says is correct?
Lt. Dan
It is also predicted in the bible No. It wasn't. That's all from that Bible-code bullsh*t and off-the-wall interpretation. You know what the Bible says? We won't know when the time comes.
Katalix
It was some verse in the bible. But I'm an Atheist so I heard it somewhere from someone. Bible - epic fail (to me)
Mad Tony
It was some verse in the bible. But I'm an Atheist so I heard it somewhere from someone. Bible - epic fail (to me) Give me a link. I wanna see if it actually predicts it specifically or just vaguely predicts something that could be misinterpreted easily. I don't get it, you say you think the bible is BS yet you used it to back up your theory about the world ending in 2012.
Katalix
Err, this topic is getting extremely flamed. And its in the video, if you watched it, the 2nd one.

Jake
Why is everyone only so concerned about what the Bible says? There's so many other things involved with it. I suggest watching some documentaries, such as Nostradamus 2012 that was recently on History channel. It explains a lot more than just the Bible. People really should be more open to it, if even just for knowledge of what ancient civilizations, philosophers, scientists, and others think about it. Shaunr
damn. i graduate 2012. this will suck if it happens. I don't believe in god though. I mean seriously, if there is only 1 god, where did all the other crap in the universe come from? If he didn't make it, who did? Which is why I no believe. I think it's understandable not to believe this kind of thing. Could you point me in the right direction as to what point in the video it says that? Exkabewbikadid
I'm all for people running around in hysteria thinking that the world will end on a specific date. I saw it happen with y2k and thought to myself, "Damn, there's got to be a way to cash in on all of this nonsense." Well, in 2012, it looks like a new oppurtunity to do just that will present itself once again.
Katalix
I don't even remember the hysteria over Y2K since I was only... 6 years old.

Katalix
That is true, but I am an Atheist. I do think some of the Bible is BS. Oh yes! Moses really got 2 of every animal on a little boat. How did animals get there from Africa or Asia? He's god. He's magical.

Durka Durka Mahn
I go back to my original point. Is everything that the bible says necessarily true? Well seeing as it mentions the word 'God' in a way that involves there being one, obviously not.

Just because the Bible says it's true doesn't necessarily mean that this sh*t is true.
