evolvedbullet
I have been researching this problem of mine, everything the internet had to offer didn't work as it seems. =/ Whenever I hit PLAY on the Social Club App, I wait for the game to load and when it maximizes on the screen, I see a OUT OF RANGE message highlighted by a red rounded box. The common fixes I run across from google are: -The resolution the game itself is too high for the monitor to handle, fix it by: (My file location folder + my monitor size) "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\GTAIV.exe" -width 1680 -height 1050 -refreshrate 60 -Perhaps try a smaller resolution to get the game working: "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\GTAIV.exe" -width 800 -height 600 -refreshrate 60 Both of these do not work. Also -Your refresh rate in the game is beyond what your monitor can handle (I tried putting in a refresh rate of 40, even 20, in the target line. It still didn't work. Is my monitor broken, or is it the game?) All of these 'fixes' don't work at all; what kind of fix can I apply that is not listed here? Thanks. Rockstar Toronto
Try removing all command lines, and delete your Settings.CFG file in C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Local Settings\Application Data\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\Settings\ If that doesn't work, try using the commandline "-safemode", then set your graphics settings as desired in the main menu graphics options. noVa
^if that dont work and you have an ati graphics card go into catalyst control panel and go on the "Display options" (in advanced mode) and scroll down to "3D Refresh Rate Override" and make sure its not on 75hz or higher, set it down to 60hz. nvidia might have a similar setting.
