Custom controls arent saving ?

Anyone had any luck sorting this ?

 

Spend ages setting the keyboard controls to how I want ( game is pretty much impossible to play on my controller, and I'm not going to go and buy another Xbox controller when I have a perfectly good one already that works for EVERY other game ! ) then the next day when I start the game they have all gone back to the default ones ???

 

I'm quite surprised that Rockstar arent able to program custom key definitions that stay saved, every other company who make every other game seem to be able to ?

 

As an aside, I did see a note somewhere about 'dissapointing sales' for GTA4 - wonder how much more dissapointed they'll be once all the returns get counted from Xmas presents people couldnt play ???

Install the patch and you can use your controller you already have.

But playing GTA with a controller sucks anyway

 

I think, your issue only occurs, when you configure your keyboard controls at the main menu, before you start the game. Start the game so you're "ingame", only then configure your keyboard controls. Then your settings should be permanently saved.

The games much easier to play with keyboard and mouse than a controller !

 

Will try editing in game and see if that works
