mtorrance
Ok, I got the chance to get this one from a friend. So I wanna know if this card has a good performance at GTA4. I own a 8400GS (512MB). Also I wanna know which card works perfect with an Intel Core 2 Quad (Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz) and 4GB DDR2 RAM generally. (I don't wanna sepndm uch money tho.) Many thanks in advance! Geedoo
Googl'd som reviews for ya. Judge for yourself. 9500gt reviews's As you can see, it is a budget card and will probably not perform well in gta iv. 19-22 fps in cod 4 is not a good sign. Move up a notch, 9600gt,9800gt,9800gtx. anus
9500GT is just a rebadge 8600GT in most ways, it will run GTA IV at acceptable frames, but I'd recommend going for a minimum of 9600GT for not just IV but any new games.
CharmingCharlie
The 9500gt is actually about 20% slower than the 8600gt, the lowest cards you should consider for GTA 4 are 8800gt, 9600gt or a HD4850. Anything else below those three are just not worth buying.
ron123
As a user of q6600 2.4 GHZ + 9800GT 512MB and win xp I should say that this rig is great for all games except GTA4 (the 512 MB is a bottleneck), however with all the possible twicks\changes I can play good enough on a 1920x1200 max settings game (check videos in sig). You should remember that the framerate depends mostly on the CPU (q6600 is good) and resolution\textures depend on the amount of GPU memory (512 Mb will couse problems), the 9500gt 1 GB is the min GPU for med textures (adding an overclocked q6600 3.2-3.6 GHZ will be perfect rig for price to play gta4 on max settings), without overclocking the CPU it is better to have 9600-9800 card with more then 600 mb). Note: the game will be playable for rigs above for win xp and 7, vista is killing the low price rigs for gta4.
