saintdave Posted January 16, 2009 Share Posted January 16, 2009 The characters appear after completing certain storyline missions, which is why it’s recommended you do the random character missions after completing the game. Of course they will only be at their meeting points at certain times of the day (morning, afternoon & night) with only one character showing up at a specific time (Eddie Low). MP5 Posted January 19, 2009 Share Posted January 19, 2009 (edited) Ivan, Cherise and Clarence are the only known random characters which you could kill in the game's storyline. I have stumble across Cherise and Ivan, but I wasn't aware about Clarence being a random character until I was nearly in the end of the storyline and looked up the random characters list in gta4.net (to avoid spoilers). I happened to kill Clarence using a sniper rifle from afar during "Holland Nights", which answers why I was never even offered the choice to spare or kill him. I was under the impression all random characters count, since they were mentioned to add 5% in the game progress. Of course, I might fail to attain the "No More Strangers" achievements though. EDIT: and Pathos x2. Knew I'd forget someone As for the achievement, meet the ones left alive, once you have met all the alive random characters you will get it, if you killed any or all of Ivan, Cherise and Clarence then you do NOT need to visit them for the achievement.
