Windows 7 does not give any noticeable improvement in GTA IV. By noticeable I mean anything more than 5FPS. Do you think an OS can give a 25FPS increase in a game? The difference between Vista 64 Bit and W7 64 Bit for me is around 7 FPS In-game FPS which puts me above 30 and gives me a smooth, consistent gameplay. Yeah this game does not scale for sh*t. I mean those numbers are from the GTA IV in game bench. That means you can basically knock off 15FPS when it translates to in game performance. A brand new i7 965 EE, 3GB DDR3 1066 and a GTX280 and they're pulling 66FPS on low and 48FPS on high. So that means in game it's roughly 33FPS on high and 50FPS on low. Simply unreal.
