mr_munch
Hello fellow GTA IV players, this is a brief topic on how to play GTA IV for the cheapest amount possible. I don't know if this is of any help to anyone but i managed to build my own pc with just £350 - $531. My old specs were- amd 3500+ 2.2GHZ sh*t mobo from asus, low end mobo. 3 gig of ram 7600 gt pci-e i sold 2 gig of the memory for £12 the graphics card for £15 and the mobo and case with a gig of ram for £40 so thats an extra £67 so total now is £417 and i kept my hdd, monitor, speakers and dvdrw heres what i bought... new specs are- intel quad core q6600 at 2.4ghz the go-stepping version for better overclocking which i've not done yet. - £110 asus PN5-E mobo with sli - £55 i know i shouldent but i bought a cheap 600W PSU for - £20 i recommend a good one for about £75 4 gig of patriot ram - £25 palit 9800 GT 512 Graphics card - £100 Aqua cooling case inc neon fans - £55 thats £365. the rest went on postage and a pc vibrating gamepad for £5 NEW!!!!!!. All from ebay! im on high settings 1400 x 900 75mhz except texture which is on medium and 40,100,100,100 and i get an average 29.9 FPS on this system Anyways not sure if this will help, but for the ones who want to upgrade on a budget i would recommend this.
