Engioc Posted January 9, 2009 Share Posted January 9, 2009 Its seems bikes are pretty rare in this game. They rarely seem to spawn for me, I see hundreds of cars but very few bikes. In VC and SA I could always find one when I wanted. I know of a couple but they are miles away most of the time. I'm trying to do the stunts but so hard to get a decent bike to do them on. Same seems to go for boats, I am looking for one now to try and do a stunt but you think I can find a boat, I driving to every single dock I can find but not a single boat in sight apart from ones already being driven around, doesn't anybody in this town get off their boat??? Do people live on their speed boats?? Plus WTF does it have to rain so often. I did a test, saved and went out side, every single day or at worst second day I was guaranteed of rain, so unrealistic, so predictable. Sorry I just really needed to have that rant. I never had these problems (apart from rain) in previous games, good bikes, good boats, the best cars were easy to find, now it seems so hard except once I already get one then I see some but what for, I already have one. I have found bikes and the odd boat but its not as easy as previous GTAs. In VC was real easy finding them, and even with the size of SA I knew a few places to get them for each of the islands/citys. Eg In SA there were 3 easy ones to get, LV - get gold in bike school and you'd get a decent bike outside it. SF - One down by the docks to do the challenge (dont remember what its called but you can take that one for anywhere in SF). LS - Was one in a parking lot second level not far from CJ's first home. So far in LC I have found an NRG next to the airport, just outside. Of course there is the bike shop on Alderney but I'm yet to find one that is always there in Algonquin, now maybe someone knows where one is but so far I haven't, I found some, but they are not always there. Also quite note about the Official guide (for anyone thinking of getting it) it does not contain any info about vehicles, its the worst guide I ever seen for a GTA. I dont use it for main story cause thats easy enough to follow but its handy to have for finding pigeons, packages, jumps etc but I am not that happy with the amount of info they provide. Guide for SA had a listing of every vehicle in the game with picture and locations where they could be found, I got familiar with many of the places for cars like the Bullet (I think my fav car from SA), Banshee, and the other good ones. There were several Bullets and a Banshee in SF alone, so far I see nothing like that in GTA4. I dont know, maybe its just a bug I'm getting and they're not spawning correctly or something, I dont want to complain too much and hopefully these small things will get sorted out through a patch. zmoonchild Posted January 9, 2009 Share Posted January 9, 2009 Aside from the random locations that motorcycles appear in Liberty City, I have only found two locations where the NRG 900 spawns every time: 1) inside Francis International Airport: 2) at the Westdyke motorcycle dealership in Alderney (which you already mentioned): I have done a lot of searching and have not found any other regular spawn locations for any other motorcycles (not just the NRG 900)… that’s not to say that there aren’t any; I just haven’t found them yet, if they exist. Problem is finding one to begin with. I totally agree with you. I love riding bikes, escpecially with this new engine and such. But never around when I want one. I also hate the rain. Thanks for that, maybe there is some problem with my game cause I definately not getting many at all, surprised me how few seem to appear in my game and it did seem to get worse the further along I got, opening up more islands bikes seem to get even more rare. Slamman Posted January 10, 2009 Share Posted January 10, 2009 Basically, solve both those issues by going to the West side of Broker, go to the Naval ship yard and you'll see a few burly bikers often riding there, then jump in the water and swim out in the lake/river/ocean, a number of boats will spawn, almost in a mandatory attempt to crash into you!
