mantisisrael Posted January 14, 2009 Author Share Posted January 14, 2009 just got my new super system about two weeks ago corei7 920 asus p6t corsair 6 gig 1600 asus gtx280oc 10000 shekels thats like 2600 dollars no use when the game is not working thank god there are few other companys out there who are actually making working games :\ i cant believe this issue is still a mystery and you cant find a fix nowhere on the net you would think there are people out there that have a clue about this kind of things and locate the problem the game been out for months is that true? i hear about expansion packs how about making the game work before getting more out and i see many people with this same problem months and no fix on the whole internet i guess ill never play this game at least the box is nice ill read the manual and check for nice locations on the included map yay thanks for the new approach fR33$tyler but it didnt do the trick Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Well you have to understand secure rom is not going to create a storage area, or even registery entries that should be easy to manipulate. They will try to hide them on the system. That's why I suggest erase the drive, kill the boot sector, it will definitely nuke the drive and you can start over. mantisisrael Posted January 14, 2009 Author Share Posted January 14, 2009 tried again this time with the memory restriction line the game crashed on the opening intro movie part it got very laggy with 1-3 fps freeze then crash corei7 920 asus p6t 6 gig 1600 gtx280oc vista64 bit ok so after solving getting the game to show i find that now i need to find a way to get the game to work is this a mini game in gta4? mantisisrael Posted January 15, 2009 Author Share Posted January 15, 2009 i finally coming back now from about 2 3 hours of my first gameplay man this game is really the best was watching tv in the apartment at the start of the level watched the full shows about liberty city and that stand up thing haha so great got up to the first date then my windows shut it self down apparently those update i uninstalled installed them selves again now i only have two uninstalled updates Cumulative update for media center for windows vista x64-based Systems (KB955519) Update for Windos Vista x63-based Systems (KB950124) and social club started on windows startup so thats good i played on medium settings with clean fps ill try to raise it to high and see if it crashes if it indeed crashes its not because i dont have the hardware power and that will suck but medium settings are decent i just hope it will come on working not going to install those two remaining updates either Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

mantisisrael Posted January 15, 2009 Author Share Posted January 15, 2009 (edited) thanks i was kinda of a relief just tried to raise the texture settings to high once i set it on high the game goes at 1fps for some seconds then crashes theres a obiuvs problem somewhere something do to with the memory or i dont know i remember seeing on some board a solution so you can use more then the defult limit of 1000 mb memory anyone knows what im talking about? also now im going to try setting the texture back to medium but the render quality to high ill test that ill try to run it on texture med render very high then view 40 and all the rest on 100 shadows 16 mem is 460/1000 the only thing that uses that mem is the texture quality and the view distance so it worked with medium and then was like using 350 or something from that 1000 max and high quality i got a crash and that was using like 860 so lets test 460 brb if im not back soon it means its working haha Edited January 15, 2009 by mantisisrael Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
