DIO_SVK
Hi i have a little problem with GTA IV.The problem is not about grafics i dont think is the grafics problem. So my problem is little different to other problems posted in Troubleshooting topics so when i play on Windows XP SP3(x86-32bit) system every thing run just fine but running on low FPS so i desided to reinstal and instal my new LEGAL Windows XP x64 for better performance so when i instal every thing like Latest Catalyst 8.12 x64 for my system and all drivers for x64 system for best performance i even i instal Windows Media encoder x64 and service pack 2.SP3 is not avaible for x64 version. So i instal game regiter it and try to play. The grafics settings whose set like in 32bit xp so a just star play and i see the problem. This time FPS whose geat!!! 40 and game whose FAST so i take near car and go.When i travel about 10 blocks away from my safe house it starts to loading MAP-LEVEL slower and slower and in one minute i travel on air and everything i ram to with car loaded and rendered but world nothing.Sometimes help if i go to setting and grafics level just restarted and loaded fine but next 10 bloks is the same. Even i downloaded GTAIV Patch and i instal AMD Dual Core optimalizer for CPU i think i the CPU whose the problem but is not a CPU becose other new games run fine only in GTAIV . FlipWillie
Does your problem look like the picture in this thread: Textures missing. If so, then we both have the same problem. I have been able to fix it yet. I think we are waiting for a patch from Rockstar.
Nurdle
I suffered exactly the same issue under windows xp x64. In the end I bought another 2gig of ram (running 4gig DDRII now) and the problem was solved for me at least. A bit of a drastic measure I know.
