We who dont like mods, pls show some respect online Offline is good, show off your friends... mom and dad but ffs keep it offline !!! Only destroying for us who wants to enjoy the game as it is Hope Rockstar bans all modders, or at least sort you out to your own sandbox where you can show off your work to other modders... I'm not being big headed or anything but i'm pretty damn good at MP and it really rattles my cage when people cheat because they ain't very good Me assault rifle.. out of range.. him pistol in range? Or even more stupid.. can't die, surely you don't think people won't notice that you've just stepped out of a car thats blew up and still getting shot by 4 guys with rifles and still live to tell the tale. Don't get me wrong, I love modding but the vehicle spawner, auto rockets, etc just totally ruing the game for me. I like free mode and all it is now since the last week is hackers. Modders should stay in closed servers and play among themselves, using mods to beat people is just plain lame. I am a modder but haven't even killed a single person online, I choose not to win by cheating as what's the point. Nothing beats some good old fashioned pistol headshot kills to really own, rocket pistols on players who are not similarly armed makes you a waste of space. PWN properly or don't PWN at all. I would like to see some server side checks done, if that would even be possible. Like if a player shoots 2 rockets within a certain amount of time it realises that shouldn't happen and kicks them. What I do mind is blatant cheating, like super-fast shooting rockets, cars that go 500mph, etc... Those people should be banned from playing online. I don’t care if they choose to spawn it instead. But the modder I met yesterday made me just close the game. He was blowing up everything, invulnerable and impossible to kick. I chose his name on the phone, but I was just sent back to the main menu of the phone. If I chose another name, I got the choice between call, kick, etc. that player. I don't use them in MP at all with ONE exception : If it's a PRIVATE game (e.g. Just me and my friends). I don't see the harm if it's a private game or private server, but if it's someone elses game then I don't use any of it - what would be the point? Any other situation, I'm up for the usual run around or whatever. I've met modders who have rocket glocks etc... despite the fact that I too, could go and get my rocket glock and fight the modder with a mod... it's not worth it. I don't mod to pwn people and make myself feel like I'm teh 1337... I do it out of curiousity. If I wanted to pwn people, then sure - I could load up the uber guns and whatever else but ultimately that would just suck. I'd rather run around with regular weapons and try to kill, even if I suck at it. I don't mind getting killed by better players because thats how you learn and how you get better - what I do mind is running around a corner and getting blown to hell by some guy with a rocket glock or whatever - killing everyone and wrecking it all. I know there are people here that hate mods or modders - I can quite understand why, but rather than try to stop mods themselves, why not actually try to get R* to sort out the MP feature properly? So that a scenario like this could happen: 1) You host your own game or a friend does... 2) You set 'Join while in progress' to Disallow. 3) You then invite (through LIVE) your friends who can still get in, but no-one else. I've tried this but 'Join while in progress' doesn't seem to do much or so I've found, maybe I'm setting something incorrectly somewhere. But if done properly, the modders can have their private 'sandbox' games for the mods, the other non-modders can play MP without fear of mods due to proper file checks... the way to do that would be to host a set of files on the LIVE servers themselves and just do a quick checksum against what gets loaded in the players game... something like that. Single-player you do whatever the hell you want, online you have to keep in mind that people may want to play a normal game without you shooting 15 rockets per second or being invincible.
