PestilenceJM
Agree. But i must say, i havent seen anyone using a handling or speed mod in a race yet. They only use such in freemode, so its kinda allright for me.
huxBlunt
....Those aren't modders. Those are cheaters. Modding is a wonderful thing for gaming. It can extend the life of a game from a couple of weeks to a few years. Not all mods are to add over powered weapons or other cheat type modifications. Real mods can take an average game and turn it into the best. The games Counter Strike and Battlefield both have their roots in the modding scene. They were amatuer projects based on the Half Life engine which later achieved commercial success. You can take a game and make it completely your own with mods. Even to a point where the original is barely recognizable and you've pretty much created your own game without needing a 30 man programming team to create a half decent 3D engine. I'm not sure how moddable GTA4 is... But the euphoria engine could make for some very interesting mods. Don't label modders under the same banner as cheaters. Gta is not very moddable yet... you cant add custom models which means no cars. but you can tweak weapons and cars and stuff. and cahgen textures
