KampfHase
Hej guys, I had to format my PC last week and also had to reinstall everything. I have a 8800GTS with 312 MB RAM, but in the graphics menu I only have around 200 MB to fill. Before my formating I had around 290 MB, but now with only 200 I cannot change any setting higher than 0! The game looks horrible. Does someone know what I did wrong after my reinstall? I have exactly the same programs as before running in the background, disabled AntiVirus etc. Thanks - Oli
NIR_NazcaC2
Can you list the last three bullets above (answers) enclosed in the red dotted lines where it begins with "Rockstar Games would greatly..."?
KampfHase
Sure. It happens shortly after I load my last safegame. At the moment the first scenario, because I had a reinstall. I have the DVD version of the game with the latest Windows Live! patch. I use Windows XP Pro 32Bit with SP3. My system specs are: Intel Pentium D with 2x 3.0 GHz 2 GB RAM DualChannell MSI 8800GTS 320 MB, driver version 6.14.11.8048
frodo baggins
Well this doesn't solve the problem, it just bypasses it, you can use the commandline -availablevidmem 2.0 to multiply the video memory available by 2 (so you can have higher settings)
KampfHase
Can you please explain me shortly where to put this command line? I tried it several times with different typings, but I never saw an effect. My current shortcut to the game is "C:\Programme\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV"
