families4life
Hi,I was just wondering if anyone respects the traffic rules(Staying at red lights, driving with legal speed etc.).And if you do so,do you get any reward???
dinamodanci1986
And if you do so,do you get any reward??? Yeah right. Anyway, the only time I respect the traffic rules are during the missions Snail Trail and Key to her Heart. Girish
Traffic rules!? Dude, there is no such thing in GTA. The police just don't give a f*ck. Go play Driver: Parallel Lines.
the.atrium
Rules are there to be broken says it all.
Cronyne
If I try to get a specific car and end up f*cking it up 5 times... then yes, I just take the long, slow tedious way of rules.
Mainland Marauder
Sometimes I'll do it just for grins, often to see how long a trip from one point to another would take while doing so. But generally, hell no. The game would be a lot more challenging if you drew a one-star wanted level for being caught speeding or running a light though. I'm all about challenge. "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be."
640509-040147
The cops don't give an eff, me neither. I'd rather the Smash-Thru way, than the (Rectangle?) Civilian way.

zmoonchild
Here are the Traffic Rules for San Andreas (where Wanted Levels are triggered): 1) Don’t collide with an occupied Police vehicle. 2) Don’t run over or kill a pedestrian Police Officer. 3) Don’t shoot a Police Officer from your vehicle (regardless if you kill him or not). 4) Don’t shoot a weapon from your vehicle when a Police Officer is close by. 5) Don’t kill a pedestrian with your vehicle when a Police Officer is close by. 6) Don’t kill 3 or more pedestrians with your vehicle (in a brief amount of time), 2 or less is okay provided a Police Officer is not around. 7) Don't drive into a locked or restricted area (this may not really be a Traffic Rule, but it does trigger a Wanted Level). That’s about all I can think of. Other than that, real-world Traffic Rules do not apply: speeding, running red lights, causing major accidents, etc. ... and to answer the original question: Do I respect Traffic Rules? HELL NO!!! radicell
i can think of a few more.. Crashing your car into gas pumps (explosion) Don't run over 3 people or more (regardless if you kill them or not) Don't knock a Police Officer off his bike
B Dawg
I do not respect them, even if i do sometimes, the stupid car drivers sometimes hit MA CAR.
Lioshenka
I do it sometimes, usually in the countryside/desert due to the lack of traffic lights I also had a mod to make your car go 30 mph constantly, but I lost it sadly. Was a great mod though.
!!GC!!
I've driven in a respectable manner quite a few times in San An. Usually, i dont give a sh*t about them, but if i feel like it, i'll drive at a reasonable place.
major underscore
Go play Driver: Parallel Lines. Or Mafia. Indeed. Sure it's realistic that you'd get pulled over for violating the traffic rules, but it really doesn't improve the gameplay IMO.
Palatino
I do it sometimes when I'm bored... but just the Red Lights, when a car hits me I chase it and destroy it and I stop respecting the.. RULE
TopHat01
It's too hard to go at a constant speed when "W" is accelerate. It's either stop or go. It's funny when you smash into others, sometimes they try to chase you down, and then the cops will chase them down.
Prathmesh
Hi,I was just wondering if anyone respects the traffic rules(Staying at red lights, driving with legal speed etc.).And if you do so,do you get any reward??? Dude The game is called Grand Theft Auto which means Automobiles(Cars) Theft. What do you think thieves do after stealing Cars ? Get away as fast as they can. The one who can commit 'Car Theft' how the hell do you expect him/her to obey traffic rules. Rest is already said. offtopic: But I hope everyone keeps virtual world behind after leaving the game. Teens been going crazy lately. I remember havin' read bout a person shooting police and fleeing all grand theft auto style. Adding yet another controversy. So plz dont do anything that will halt/ban development/sale of GTAs Game is intended for 'psychologically mature' ppl. Discretion is must. .... Boris_Chavez
The game can be much more fun if you insist on driving on the right side of the road, i.e. the left... Also some of the freeway junctions work better that way.
Magic_Al
The game can be much more fun if you insist on driving on the right side of the road, i.e. the left... Also some of the freeway junctions work better that way. Some of the freeway junctions don't connect but one way, so you don't have much choice but to cross traffic illegally, u-turn, whatever. Las Venturas is the only city where the freeways have close to realistic access.
GSFfan
if you don't follow the traffic rules, you will very often carry wanted rating of one, regardless of good of a driver you are. scrape against a police car, run over a Ped in the presence of a cop, it's unavoidable. sh*t happens. ironically, once you have a 1 star rating it's usually best tear down the streets, run away from cops and rarely stop, be it a cop trying to open the driver's door or a bike cop popping at your tires.
