No GPS Voice

I am at the point where I have unlocked all three islands but I am yet to hear the GPS voice. I have GPS set to "selected cars" in the game settings, but there is never any GPS voice when I am driving around. Doesn't work on missions and it doesn't work when I set a waypoint manually. Am I missing something here?

If you have it to selected cars then it will only be on certain, normally expensive cars. Try driving the good looking ones

Could be a game related bug. When you're in the game, enter the audio options and scroll through the gps options, this should fix your problem.

 

*notice: This bug also happens when you set the gps options to selected (precious) cars only. If you can't hear the gps voice in a expessive car, just scroll through the gps-options setting it to selected cars only and re-enter the game, the voice should be back then.

use the more expensive cars (not the sports cars like banshees though), such as the BMWs and Mercedes

 

if you want to see if it works at all just set it to all vehicles

Usually I have to re-toggle the GPS voice off and on again to get it to work every time I start the game.

Yeah I know it only works on expensive cars. That's implied by the "selected cars" setting. Do you think I have played the game to 50%+ and never driven an expensive car? Anyway, thanks for the tip about cycling the options. I'll go into the game now and see if that helps.

I also think (so not sure) that the GPS voice only works on player assigned locations (so when you activate a point on the map) and not on mission assigned locations.

 

And indeed it only works on expensive cars and I have to say the volume of the female GPS voice is too soft, can hardly hear her.
