Yeatric
GTA: SA 3D Is it possible to mod GTA: SA, like this: http://arstechnica.com/journals/thumbs.ars...-quality-ps3-3d Or is it to much work or do you need an special LCD monitor? CleemN
Well. If someone would make a system for it, it would take so much work constantly rendering a 3d picture for the glasses that people will be experiencing 5 Fps max. I think.
Yeatric
Hmm, maybe it's possible with ENBSeries? If you read this topic, Boris-vorontsov, is this possible?
g30dud3
It wouldn't be incredibly time consuming at all. I remember reading ages ago that nVidia already has a system for playing games in 3D. They released a driver that works with certain games and with their special glasses, here - http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d_stereo.html In fact, there's more about that at the very site the OP linked to http://arstechnica.com/journals/thumbs.ars...ith-left-4-dead Now, I have absolutely no idea if this works with San Andreas, but it just shows there's no need to alter textures or anything. All 3D vision does is render the game from 2 viewpoints instead of one and alternates between the two images quickly. With the right glasses, each eye sees a slightly different image, resulting in the 3D effect. That said, although it's theoretically possible, I still doubt anyone round here is going to implement it.
.svenn
There is also this iZ3D Monitor, a special monitor. GTA San Andreas is also on the list of supported games. I haven't seen one of these monitors so I don't know if it looks good.
smokinjoe
isnt San Andreas already a 3d game?
g30dud3
Wow, strange.. First this topic, and now I've just seen an article on Slashdot about the exact same thing. In fact from one of the comments, it seems San Andreas does work with this technology. I was slightly wrong about the game using two cameras though, it's actually done using the depth buffer for each pixel. Anyway, you still need to buy the 120Hz screen and the glasses, which isnt exactly cheap. Will be cool when this goes mainstream though.
Yeatric
Damn, the result is always "buy this, buy that" But thanks for all everyone!
coin-god
isnt San Andreas already a 3d game? Yes, but you see a plain screen. He wants to see the objects came out of the screen with 3D Glasses.
