andamentos
Hi! I reinstalled IV, and when i started the game i noticed there are only one kind of cars.... weird... no other type of cars spawn in the game... only the cops.... For example: only taxis, or only rancher..... anyone experienced the same problem... or have any solution to it, or idea to waht causes it!??? noVa
so there is only 1 type of car spawning? theres no variety at all? i'd suggest you reinstall again to be honest.
Stickymaddness
The cars were on sale. Liberty City cant pass up a deal that good. ROFL Reinstall is probably your best bet, unfortunately.

noVa
just to be clear there is only one type of car spawning yes? or is there lots of the car your in and some other ones.
bp2018
If you have your car density up high try lowering it, the engine scales things to save memory, so if you have settings up really high aswell as car density it will spawn more of the same car to save on memory. Your computer specs aswell as settings would help to see if this is the case or if something funky is going on, also could you tell us if you are using any commandline parameters. ah0i.bRAuSe
lol thats weird o_O maybe something with your hdd is wrong ? so that the game cant load some data ? maybe you could try installing the game on some other part of your hdd.. e.g. uninstall gta4 then install some other game in that place and again install gta4 on a different part of your hdd maybe it helps.. strange but how knows

Drag_Drift
Try setting the vehicle density to 0. Then restart the game. Get it back up to 60 and see what happens.

andamentos
well, i just finished re-installing the game... and had a try... now i got various types of veichles depending on the area i am.... so, i got something like this: And one other thing that is odd... is that my settings aren't working like they should, for instance, the textures setting does not affect the memory usage.... when it should!!! also... i only get to change it from low to high... i don't get the highest option anymore... even if i have memory enough!!! and the wierdiest thing about this all... is that i already played the game fully... without any kind of problems.... i haven't changed my computer specs... so it's really weird!!! Any ideas/solutions!??
pinky
A: Defrag. B: Defrag. C: Defrag. This game frags to f*ck on install as I tested yesterday and recommend defragging the folder as soon as you have installed it. the game relies on streaming and is adversely affected by fragmented files, just like SanAndreas. The not allowing High textures is normal, even if you have enough memory. Usually it deems you not to have enough if you are still near the limit and will not allow you to switch to high textures. It wouldn't allow me to use high textures with a 768MB card so if you have less you have no chance, unless you use commandline tweaks.
copperwire93
Clean your registry entries, the installation did not registered properly to registry entries
andamentos
Ok ok..... Problem solved..... The problem was Hardware.... i had a RAM Memory that wasn't correctly installed...... so, i guess it was the way for the game to tell me: "hey... dude! something's missing!!!" Thanks to all....
