carsmasher Posted January 8, 2009 Share Posted January 8, 2009 Hey all i'm running vista 32 bit with 8500gt, 4 gigs of ram. Now problem started off with xnetfailed to start, i checked all the fixes, 3.5 updated, gfx up to date, patch from rockstar applied, the game was working perfect 2 days ago. Now im at a point of trying to reinstall as rebooting just doesn't work keeps telling secur rom is locked, i've tried rockstars suggestion to remove with sec rom removal tool, tried in safe mode deleted the directories won't reinstall, tried to repair it to try reinstall still won't happen, i even tried spybot bot to remove the reedit directories. I don't understand what's actually happening here was working sweet as 2 days ago now i can't even uninstall the dam thing, which i like the game but to much crap added.... sigh Any idea's? kvic Posted January 8, 2009 Share Posted January 8, 2009 From past experience have you tried Perfect Uninstaller i use it in place of windows uninstaller I dont know if it works with vista but it scans the registry to remove all traces of the program.
