longboardskier Posted January 8, 2009 Share Posted January 8, 2009 This is not a comparison post. Let's not make it one. I picked it up for PC when it was released a couple days ago. When I installed it and loaded it up the first thing I noticed was that I couldn't use my mouse in the menus. Bad sign. I then went to the graphics options to change it to my resolution (1680x1050). To my surprise, my resolution is not supported, so I had to settle for 1280x1024. Turned the graphics settings to "high". With my system (below) I'm getting between 10-20 FPS at any given time. This FPS doesn't change no matter what resolution, graphics settings, or anything I change. To put it into perspective, GTA IV I average 25-30FPS. Bottom line is that it's an extremely bad porting job (sound familiar?), and I'm seriously concerned about PC gaming when big time titles are coming out like this. Mikeol1987 Posted January 8, 2009 Share Posted January 8, 2009 SR2 is an awful game anyway, it belongs in 2005 with San Andreas, not 2009 with GTAIV, its way out of its depth, I'm not making this a comparison post because there is no comparison between the two SR2 = Awful, prehistoric car handling and gameplay, blood effects and fighting controls.
