Pat
In Columbia Pictures comedy "Paul Blart: Mall Cop," Kevin James (commonly known by his lead roll in the show "King of Queens") stars as the title character, a single, suburban dad, trying to make ends meet as a security officer at a New Jersey mall. It's a job he takes very seriously, though no one else does. When Santa's helpers at the mall stage a coup, shutting down the megaplex and taking hostages (Paul's daughter and sweetheart among them), Jersey's most formidable mall cop will have to become a real cop to save the day. I guarantee you I'll be lucky to get even one reply in this topic that isn't along the lines of "this movie is going to suck," or "how could you possibly think this is funny?" To be honest, I could care less. I'm a Kevin James fan, as well as a Die Hard fan, so I'll be sure to see this (even if modern parodies usually, if not always, end up horrible). Vercetti21
I've seen the commercial about a hundred times now, and really, it just annoys me. He's a funny guy, but not funny enough for me to spend $9 just to go see some sh*tty-looking movie that happens to have him in it.
Vanilla Shake
When it comes to movies set in a mall, I'll stick to Mallrats. This can never beat that. TC718 / <629 / CF5
outcest
When it comes to movies set in a mall, I'll stick to Mallrats. This can never beat that. yeah. haven't we been taught since day one from every facet of respectable media that mall cops are, in fact, totally f*cking lame and not worthy of our time/respect? A Die Hard parody, the King of Queens, uh, where do I f*cking sign?

MrJohn666
It lost me at Blart. Me too. I'm thinking a lot of people won't know that it is a Brit slang word.
Slamman
MY good movie buddy Rob, he put the Kevin James/Adam Sandler buddy picture where they get married on, much to my dismay. I laughed a bit, I'll admit, but I'd rather see this flick I think.
Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
So, anyone watch this? It beat out Gran Torino this weekend, taking the number one spot at the box-office and earning $33.8 million. Not bad for James' first solo-film. The reviews however... Not so great, which I expected. The wierd inclusion of X-games guys like Black and Mikey V as bad guys seemed, dumb. And the movie is very "kid-friendly", which means it's much less funnier than you'd hope for.
Creed Bratton
From what I've seen in trailer, and from what I read here, this seems to be one of those movies I'd only watch on TV when there is nothing else on. I like King of Queens by the way
Slamman
Kevin was doing local TV interviews not long ago, when that plane crashed in the river, he was on the air doing an interview at the time! I saw him on local TV but missed the intro, they seemed to suggest that the location of ACTUAL shooting was Minnesota's own MALL OF AMERICA. If so, wish I got to see them filming. They filmed an outdoor scene of Beautiful Girls right out side my apartment window, the house they used is just a few blocks to my North! It's still there, obviously. I thought it was very cool but an annoying light was setup to light the scene at night, made it hard to sleep. People were constantly walking around the street to catch some actor on set! hahaha
