Mouta Posted January 8, 2009 Share Posted January 8, 2009 ok i dont know if this is a repost, if it is, then im sorry. so what happened was i was driving a car with the gps on. i was going to start a mission. when you are getting close to a crossroad, the girl of the gps usualy says "in whatevar yards, turn left/right", and then you hear a bell: "ding-dong" when you are reaching the crossroad, right? BUT, when i was getting close to a crossroad, as allways the girl said "turn left" but instead of listening to the "ding-dong" bell, it was the girl that did the ding-dong sound. (i think it is because i was too close to the crossroad, cause she didnt say that part: "in whatevar yards", cause i was already at the crossroad). so, it was something like this: i am at a few feet from the crossroad and she goes like: "turn right, ding-dong." instead of listening to the bell i listened to her saying ding-dong. sorry if this is confusing. XD and i dont know if this is common to happen, but it was the first time it happened to me. and so i was like "wow! what was that?!" and i have to tell it in here to see if it is something like a "sound easter-egg" or something like that XD or if it is a normal thing to happen and i only noticed it now. as it ever happened to you? I don't know "When" or "Why" it happens, since it might happen just once, it's not like for that specific car is always going to be her voice acting the "ding dong" thingie. bp2018 Posted January 8, 2009 Share Posted January 8, 2009 I'm waiting on the GPS mods so we can add in the same ones you can get for REAL gps units such as "I pity the fool who doesn't turn left in 500 meters" If you didn't get that im referring ot the voice mods real GPS units can have installed so they sound like famous people and say funky stuff.
