aquateen87
hey guys, i was just wondering i beated san andreas again and i was just wondering if sweet ever knew that ryder got killed by cj?
!!GC!!
Well, im sure his brother would've told him or given him a run down on all the things that he'd done while he was away. However, Sweet, that jealous prick, always starts to dis CJ about how he ran away from the 'hood when CJ begins talking about SF and LV, so i think CJ may have tried to tell him but he didn't listen. We are never shown that he told him during the game, though.
lil weasel
It's one of those (many) loose ends that isn't covered in the games dialog.

Girish
It's quite weird that CJ never ever talks about Ryder, only about Smoke. Ryder was just a small part of a bigger plot that was led by Smoke. Besides, Ryder did what he did only because Smoke asked him to. I don't think he had a mind of his own.
Mainland Marauder
How about some spoiler tags in here? By the time Sweet gets out of prison, Ryder has long been feeding the fishes while Smoke is yet to be dealt with. Mainland Marauder
How about some spoiler tags in here? This game is almost 5 years old so f*ck spoilers. Believe it or not, there are people who haven't finished the game yet. For example, I first played Vice City almost four years after it was released. For the record, on the SA section index: GameplayFor all gameplay related discussion. Please use Spoiler tags where applicable. But I'll defer to girish on this as to whether they're necessary in this particular topic, being that he's the led-by and all. Anyway, back on topic, I guess I just figure that Sweet was filled in sometime in between about the events that took place while he away. Girish
Well, the game is more than 4 years old. No need for spoilers really. As for the section descriptions asking you to use spoilers, I'll take it up with the admins.

As for the section descriptions asking you to use spoilers, I'll take it up with the admins. Fair enough. Just a suggestion though, since you've got the means to do it - should topic headers include a description like ***SPOILERS*** just to alert anyone who's new to the game, so that they'd be warned? This would be similar to flicko's "challenges" topic in Vice City. I've always been a stickler for using the tags out of courtesy, so don't mind me. I guess I'm just oldschool like that "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be."

flicko
Say a member wanted help for a certain mission. They searched for topics on the mission, found one and when they took a look they found nothing but untagged gameplay spoilers. If that were me, I'd be a little ticked off. It's a bit like watching a movie; you don't want the last segment of the film to be told to you by the store clerk, as you are in the process of renting the movie out. I think, for me, it would spoil the whole atmosphere and grip I had on the game. And besides, adding spoiler tags into a post isn't difficult nor time-consuming. Even with the game being old, many people will not have played through it. I've just bought a DVD from 1922, but I don't want somebody telling me exactly what happens, which is why I think spoiler tags should remain in force, or at least spoiler warnings at the head of a topic.. Of course, I have no say on this, just throwing my two pence out there!
Girish
Well, Tank has removed the spoiler note from the description. As for including spoilers in the topic description or in the body of the topic itself, if anyone feels the need, they can ask the TS to edit in with the spoiler tags or you could just report the topic/post and I'll gladly do it myself. flicko
Ah right, cool. I suppose if people are going to venture into these sub-forums, they should really be aware that the game could well be spoiled for them, if in fact they haven't completed it. !!GC!!
That is stupid. Spoilers are really helpful but i think you must say something outside of the tags so that people know what the topic is about within them. Also, i haven't finished VC yet, not even off the first island so if i went into their forums, i'd hope that spoilers would be used. OT- Sweet never particularly liked Ryder so i dont think he really cares. He didn't seem to when CJ told him what was up with Smoke.
major underscore
It's quite weird that CJ never ever talks about Ryder, only about Smoke. Ryder was just a small part of a bigger plot that was led by Smoke. Besides, Ryder did what he did only because Smoke asked him to. I don't think he had a mind of his own. As I understand it, the plot was really managed by Tenpenny, who had Smoke do whatever he told him to. Just check out the early Big Smoke missions. Later, during that cutscene after The Green Sabre we learn that Big Smoke learned a long time ago to do what he was told to do. Ryder was only Big Smoke's weak right hand though, that's true. TECHN9CiAN
Who is Rosie; and is there a skyscraper in VC? Rosie O'Donnell. That one bitch nobody likes... Remember? Rosie=Rosenberg, the lawyer from VC. So what did happen to Tommy? I've always been curious to know... maybe he'll come back as the "Salvatore" of the next VC where we kill him. Maybe Tommy put a price on Rosie's head, causing him to leave VC & go back to working for the LC mob. whatever... i'm faded...

At the most, you can say that Smoke always took sides with CJ.

If they see fit to continue with the spoilers, then we will. I accidentally came across the whole "betrayal" thing in The Green Sabre when I hadn't gotten to that level yet. I even found out the end when I was still in San Fierro. I was a little surprised but it honestly didn't ruin anything for me. I still had to get there and see it for myself so I don't think it's even a big deal if you find out the future of the game. You still have to get there and play through it anyway....and people tend to lie a lot *coughs* Big Foot & Leatherface *coughs* *coughs*.
