gtawizard92
This isn't really a big deal for me, but it is something which I think would make the game feels even more alive, which is the public people having an actual life. Look at all the houses in Liberty City. And yet no-one seems to live in them. What I would like to see is the public living thier own lives. Imagine it, most of the houses having doors that open like Niko's house does, except they only open when the person living there opens it (in other words, Niko cannot enter it). Anyways, it is 08:00. A man leaves his house, walks down the steps onto the pavement and gets in his car (imagine you are watching him). He then sets off on his journey to work through the very busy morning traffic (you are following him). Soon after, he stops outside a clothes store and enters the shop. At 17:00 he leaves the store, gets in his car and drives to a local Burgershot to have his dinner. He then drives home. Simple! A simple day of life of a person. The reason I am saying this, is because so many cars just drive around, not really going anyway and it is a point pointless. But like I said, its not a big deal lol. Just an idea to make things more realistic... Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/390903-the-public/ Share on other sites
scotland4life
Yeah I'd like that too but think how difficult it would be to implement. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/390903-the-public/#findComment-1058856737 Share on other sites
HugoMarques
Though I don't like to stalk NPCs, I agree with you. This would be crazy realistic, but imagine the amount of memory that would be used for that. But anyways, we can't say it wont happen. R* is very unpredictable. Mainland Marauder
That's potentially feasible in future generations of hardware/storage media, but I don't see anything like that in the short term. FiliGTAFan
It does sound like a really good idea. It would be cool seeing other peds as they go about there life. There could be different types of things each person does ie. a gangster goes to his gang and they have a shootout with enemies or the cops. A pedestrian that jacks cars and kills other people would be cool too cause Niko can't be the only guy that kills random people and has police chases. A pedestrian that jacks cars and kills other people would be cool too Roam around Los Santos long enough in San Andreas and you'll see all this stuff. Expounding upon this concept isn't a bad idea at all, but I still want this to be GTA and not The Sims: Gangstas Expansion Pack. Nova69_7
That sounds like a great idea actually but I agree it would be difficult to do it for EVERY house in a city as big as Liberty City. Exactly. While a real, breathing city may be the dream; it isn't really needed, is it? How much will it affect gameplay? It would be nice, I'm not arguing with that, but I'd prefer Rockstar to focus on other elements of gameplay before they struggle to make the world as real as possible. I think R* should really focus on improving GTA IV. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/390903-the-public/#findComment-1058867770 Share on other sites
