Graven
basically I used Fraps to record a video.although the video is only 1min long the size of it is 4GB How can I reduce the size of the video to post on the web? thnaks That´s because it´s raw .avi But I don´t see how You got 4 gigs...big resolution? Play in 1280x720 when You capture. You can use VirtualDub to encode it. VDub is handy free and very small standalone program. I use Koepi´s XviD 1.3 encoder with it. http://www.xvid.org/ Download XviD 1.1.3 and install http://www.virtualdub.org/ Download VirtualDub. Launch it, open video file. Video, compression. Select XviD MPEG-4 codec, select target bitrate, encoding type = one pass. Video, filters, resize. 1280x720 (hopefully You recorded in 16:9 format!) You can use lot of different filtters to make nice videos Audio, direct stream copy. Or use your .wav .mp3 file if You wish. Good guides for newbies: http://www.doom9.org/ Save as .avi, wait till it´s encoded. Upload to Youtube. Too hard? Learn, or use MS Movie Maker.
