SuperVeloce
I have San Andreas installed, but my game has started doing this flashing thing after in installed 3 mods. I un-installed the 3 mods, and all of them, and its still doing it! Sometimes the colouring goes dark, or it flashes blue or something Help? Girish
Please do not double post. Use the EDIT button. I'd like to know your system specifications. Also, which OS do you have? Before reinstalling, don't forget to delete any leftover files from the GTA San Andreas folder.
lil weasel
And did you install the mods One-at-a-time? Playing the game after each individual installation. To find if the game plays before installing the Next Modification.

Before reinstalling, don't forget to delete any leftover files from the GTA San Andreas folder. Sorry for double posting Hmmm, so should I just delete everything to do with san andreas and start again? It's strange, I set it up to the highest resolution setting, and it worked fine. Installed some mods, started doing the flashy colours thing. I un-installed all the mods, and it's still doing it Oh btw my system specs are: Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 2GB ram 400GB HDD nVIDIA GeForce 8500GT Windows Vista premium @lil weasel: Forgot about that, i'll remember it for next time! Girish
Oh, so you have Vista. Then you need to delete the virtual store folder too. Do this: 1) Uninstall SA. 2) Delete the installation folder if it still exists. (e.g. C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas). 3) Delete the Virtual Store copy of the installation folder too. The Appdata folder might be hidden. (e.g. C:\Users\???\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas). 4) Delete the gta_sa.set file from your user files folder. 5) Reboot. 6) Reinstall SA. SuperVeloce
Hey thanks - done that Is the nVIDIA GeForce 8500GT good enough to withstand maximum resolution on San Andreas?
Girish
Is the nVIDIA GeForce 8500GT good enough to withstand maximum resolution on San Andreas? I don't see why you won't be able to. Give it a shot.
SuperVeloce
Hmm, it does that flashy thing on max resoslution. Oh well, it's awfully annoying, but im sure i can get used to it
Girish
I think you can live with a lower resolution too. It won't make any huge difference if your other settings are high enough.
SuperVeloce
Ah right. My friend says his does it, and he has like an ATI Saphire thing lol I'll turn it down, I just hope it doesnt go all dodgey like last time
nemesi5
Hey thanks - done that Is the nVIDIA GeForce 8500GT good enough to withstand maximum resolution on San Andreas? Sadly, no unless your playing at 1280x1024. You might be able to.
SuperVeloce
Ok, i really do need help now! So I downloaded this player mod, and replaced some files using IMG Tool, but all i got was CJ with a funny hair cut and the player mods face on his cheeks And then, I accidentally deleted them using IMG tool, and it wouldnt load. So, I un-installd SA and re-installed it, and it still wont load! I've ruined my game!!! Any ideas?
Girish
How about repeating the steps I suggested a few posts above? 1) Uninstall SA. SuperVeloce
Thanks - all better now! Right, now, this is only small, but I dont think my Custom User track station is working properly. I've pasted some song shortcuts, and some of them work, but only like 5. So it plays them over and over. It wont play the other ones. I've deleted the ones that worked, and left the ones that dont, and all I get is adverts - no music. I've scanned them ingame over and over, and it still doesnt work
Ryan
Are they MP3 files? I'm pretty sure they all need to be MP3 files to work.
SuperVeloce
Hmm, I looked in Properties, and they are MPEG-4 files (Working and non-working songs) Ahhhh but the ones that arent working seem to be 'Protected' I'm guessing that could be the problem? Girish
It might be a codec issue. Try using either mp3, wav or ogg formats.
ayushisrocking
they are MPEG-4 files (Working and non-working songs) MPEG4 files are videos I suppose, on top of that, they seem to be protected.. too bad
