Unusual dying in Wu Zi Mu

Everything goes perfectly until the race starts to countdown, CJ suddenly drops out of the car and lies on the ground, then as soon as the timer hits 0, the wasted message pops up. One solution I found was to skip the cut scene early, like before Cesar starts talking. But wtf, why in the world do I have to skip the cut scene to start the mission?????

Weird glitch. Are you using any trainers?

 

I haven't come across anything like this, so, in order to ascertain whether the problem lies with the game or the save, I suggest you try this save and see if CJ dies again.

No, I didn't use any trainers. And though I had entered cheats before and paused the game to check another cheat, I had already re-installed the game, deleting everything including saved game files before re-installing. And no the cars don't blow up when I hit them. The file is fine, CJ lived! But I still don't understand why the glitch occured.

There's omething else, I can't load 100% completed files (downloaded), well they load, but they're named End of the Line and I start out in CJ's house with 0%.
