Hathaway
I'm interested in using the sound effect of a car smashing into a street light along with the sparks that follow. I'll be using it for a University assignment involving a car accident and the sound effect is a decent one. Does anyone know where I can find these files and whether the format it's in can be converted to a more usable one e.g. wav or mp3. Thanks for your help. OabAli
You can always use your stereo mixer to get the sound fx. Use Sound Recorder or Audacity. Make sure you unmute the Stereo Mixer volume in Volume Control first. Or you can use FRAPS to create a video of a car crashing: turn off radio, drive, and hit another car. You can then take that video, take out the video component, edit and/or cut it down if you want to, and convert it into a wma with Windows Movie Maker. It's easier with alternative video editors like Sony Vegas or Nero Vision.
