I don't understand the meaning of it, maybe I'm missing something, or maybe do understand and I'm just not thinking of what it could be... And omg did you guys know that when Niko runs, he goes fast? Mr_Prickles Posted January 8, 2009 Share Posted January 8, 2009 I always play it high, and thought the "chef" use the diamond because, you know... taste expensive. neither understood the story of the diamond... and the mafias, and nothing. rockstar really need someone who knows how to tell a story. it is the worst introduction to a game a have ever seen. the first thing they show you are the worst graphics of a 2008 game. Hahaha. Or maybe you should just pay attention to the story? Granted, it takes a few plays through to fully understand the story, but the story is actually very good. Sort of like the Matrix. Nova69_7 Posted January 8, 2009 Share Posted January 8, 2009 Jeez them diamonds! Lol! The opening video makes sense when you complete the game!!! I always wondered why the chef drops a diamond in the thing he's cooking (cake, soup...it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things right?!?!) and I never recalled that scene when Niko starts on his merry goose-chase around Liberty to get the diamonds for one crank or another. I watched the opening scene again after I finished and I went: "ooohhhhh I geddit..." The diamonds are kind of central to the game's story, sort of like a parallel plot to Niko's journey and this is done quite well. I wouldn't be surprised if they turn up again in either or both of the DLC's - especially since Johnny the Biker was one of the dudes who took a big interest in them...
