Scrige
I have two things. One, I've found out Niko is 30 years old. The second... in the opening video [introduction], there is a scene where the cook picks up a diamond, looks at it with his odd eye and drops it in the soup... I don't understand the meaning of it, maybe I'm missing something, or maybe do understand and I'm just not thinking of what it could be...
TECHN9CiAN
I have two things. One, I've found out Niko is 30 years old. I don't understand the meaning of it, maybe I'm missing something, or maybe do understand and I'm just not thinking of what it could be... My assumption is that the diamond is one of the conflict diamonds that belonged to the Russian guy that Dimitri sold you out to (I forgot his name). It's from before the Lost bikers stole it from them, then the Ray of the Mafia, then Gay Tony's Dominican bitch, then the homeless guy who finds them in the dump... but I'm not 100% sure. EDIT: The Russian's name is Bulgarin. So what I think happens is Bulgarin's men bring the diamonds to America, the Lost biker gang steel them from them, Ray gets his hands on them, Gay Tony's Dominican body guard breaks up the deal in the museum, Niko and Packie set up a deal to get them back, but Bulgarin (how did he know about the deal?) arrives and breaks up the deal, leading to Bulgarin's guy to throw them into an incoming trash truck, and then some hobo finds them in the trash. As for Niko’s age, where is it revealed specifically? The LCPD database. Database? LCPD Police Car? No. It's on Niko's page in the police web site in the game. The database is accessable from the very bottom of the page (click on the lock image). I don't remember the exact site, but you can find it on the main page of the news sites as a link. Wait is he from that love-meet mission? and when did he have a body guard? Remember the mission where Niko and Packie go to trade in Gracie for the diamonds in the Charge Island idustrial site(the kidnapped bitch you punched and knock out after test driving her pink Feltzer )? The guy with the sun glasses and shorts you are trading with is Gay Tony. The guy standing next to him wearing the sport jock-style jacket is Luis, his "Dominican bitch"/ body guard. He is also the guy who breaks up the deal in the mission (through the window) and he's also the guy laying on the floor of the bank (the "hero" who get's shot after killing the 4th bank robber, ask's him "what's your name kid?"). There's a lot of people thinking Luis will be the protagonist in the second 360 DLC... As for Gay Tony, that mission with the Diamond/Gracie exchange is the only time he comes out. Gay Tony is the nightclub tycoon who works with/for the Ancelotti's and appears at the Gracie/diamond trade. The only character that actually referred to him as gay was Bulgarin when he called him a fa**ot. But, he was also nicknamed Gay Tony on the radio and it also states that he likes to be called Gay Tony on the LCPD database. I'm guessing he acquired the nickname once people found out he was gay. vanmies
I always play it high, and thought the "chef" use the diamond because, you know... taste expensive. neither understood the story of the diamond... and the mafias, and nothing. rockstar really need someone who knows how to tell a story. it is the worst introduction to a game a have ever seen. the first thing they show you are the worst graphics of a 2008 game. Yeah, they did make some things in the game a little confusing... I guess that's what they meant by "having more replay value" than previous GTAs. "Worst introduction"?!!? What, were you high when you first saw it? Oh, wait... you play it on PC. f*ck graphics in general... the intro was the best I've ever seen for any GTA game. How can you hate on the cinematic style of IV compared to the simple intro's of other GTAs?

Spider-Vice
That would certainly fit in with the later storyline or maybe it’s something that could be explored in future DLC. Granted, it takes a few plays through to fully understand the story, but the story is actually very good. haha, I did pay attencion, or I tried it... but look at the story of mafia lost heaven... I understood everything in the first play. of course a lineal game is easier to understand, but, come on, if they want a mature gta, they really need to tell you a VERY good story. in mafia when you steal the diamonds, you feel how the main character really think about it. and when the boss knew what you did, oh, f*ck, you feel it... "Im screw up!" the game come out of the monitor because the great story. in gta i steal all the time, I don't even know what the f*ck I'm stealing, you kill every crazy on liberty city, you do a lot of no-normal things like a normal thing... "Worst introduction"?!!? What, were you high when you first saw it? Oh, wait... you play it on PC. f*ck graphics in general... the intro was the best I've ever seen for any GTA game. How can you hate on the cinematic style of IV compared to the simple intro's of other GTAs? gta iv looks great when you are on the street. but the intro shows you an interior and a very zoom on characters and objects. ok, I don't pretend crysis graphics, but the intro shows you the worst of the game. haha, when the chef stir the soup, haaaahaha. looks like he is cooking yellow concrete!
