[GTAIV|REL] Cop Shop

KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS:

F6 - Cycle through Police skins

F7 - Cycle through SWAT skins

F8 - Spawn Cop Car

 

INSTALLATION:

Place Police.asi in your GTA IV directory. You will need an asi loader such as Xliveless or Alexander's loader.

 

Skins use their default anims (SWAT always ducking), also you gain a nice assortment of weapons for your amusement.

Wanted level system is changed to be more "realistic" for playing a cop, you can kill civilians without getting a wanted level, but will get 1 star for punching a cop, or 2/3 stars for killing a cop.

this fully changes Niko's model to a NPC now?

same thing goes for me, put in xliveless(thanks for getting my attention on that, gotten rid of rgsc and wl now) and put the police.asi in the game folder. Pressing f6, f7 and f8 did nothing.

 

Tried disabling alice as well.

Plz tell us how to do this, it seems awesome!

no joy here as well.

 

i put the file at the main game dir and i have another ASI trainer that works well with my game. it's just this cop shop mod that isnt working.

First, this mod is not a car spawner, it is a mod for those that want to play the vigilante missions as a cop. It changes the wanted level system and lets the user choose from the cop uniforms you see officers wear in the game.

And it f*cking works in MP, as long as you use Alex's asi loader and not XLiveLess.

 

Ok, it only took me 30 mins to make, but that is not the issue here.

Most people on this forum are too lazy/ stupid to know how to download VS and compile a program changing it to their needs. I have seen several posts where people wanted a way to play the game in a cop skin, so i give them that here. You won't find another tool that can do this on the forum.

Try the download next time before you start to get all mouthy.

The asi was compiled in debug mode with dynamic linkage to the VC++ 2008 runtimes... so you'll need msvcr90d.dll in order to run it. Many people don't normally have this file, which is probably why its not working for many of you.

 

@the hubster: The better solution is to recompile the asi in release mode with the Multi-Threaded runtime (as opposed to the Multi-Threaded DLL runtime). This can be set in the Code Generation options for the VC++ project.

Ummm the new one you posted doesn't seem to work either...

I even have the old .asi and the new .dll in the plugins folder, I press F6, F7, and F8, but alas nothing doesn't happen...

 

The only thing i could think of is that the keys aren't mapped right or something idk, or that screen is shopped, but im not jumping to any conclusions and i am pretty sure this is possible to do, do you have anything else that is needed to get your c++ script do work or do you just need Alex's .asi loader and you just plop it in your GTA IV directory?

Only problem with the swat is that they always have the rifle holding animation going on, so it looks kind of stupid with a pistol/nade/bat etc... and you can't uncrouch when you are swat but they walk/run normal speed still but they are always in crouched position.

Hey it would be cool if you implement a hot key that changes you back into Niko, and disables the cop wanted scripts as well...

Like you revert back to normal when you switch back to Niko...

 

Is that even possible?

It seems good. smile.gif Anyway to install xliveless, we just put xliveless.dll into GTA IV main directory right. dontgetit.gif I have put that file and Police.asi, but when I press F6, F7 or F8 nothing happen. Help.

im not a fan of this mod.

 

* when enabling a normal policeman skin he loses all his weapons.

* the swat guy's animation is the normal swat guy's animation, which is really cool, but doesnt fit the shorter weapons or phone and u cant sprint also.

* as a cop\swat u cant counter attacks in melee combat.

* the police is still wanting me just as if i was criminal. no wanted changes.

* you can't enable niko's skin back. (u can reload a save, i think, which is no biggie).

IMPORTANT!!:

* if u cause the game to save while u r using this mod than the game will probably save the policeman skin in it which will render the save file USELESS if u remove the mod. also if u remove the mod than u wont be able to access the other working save files since the game will try to load the last working save and will crash (since it wont find the cop skin).

 

if the game has saved while u were using the MOD and u want to remove the mod than u will have to over-write the last save while using the mod as niko or delete the save file the mod has overwritten.

 

it's a nice mod that has too many disadvantages. for those who dont care - have fun.

i just think it's too much of a hassle and a risk.

 

 

i prefer the "simple native trainer" that have an affective no-wanted cheat.

there's a "car-spawner" trainer that enables me to spawn any cop car possible.

 

the combination of these two make a better vigilante experience IMO.

There is a definite place for a good vigilante MOD.

Can someone actually just add the textures as a clothe option for niko?

It'll really solve all the problems that topeira highlighted,

and we can pretend as cops as much as we want without screwing up our save files =)
