[WIP | SCR] Grand Theft Auto IV Beta Mod

That's what you think, cutting a high polygon grid across that model will take some time

Not really I have alot of experience in that

its EASY to do i dont know about you

Well what exactly do you Do ?

 

For me, I have to cut edges on the face of the model and shape them into their desired form

-Slowly start to smooth the faces

-To make light travel the best, I cut grids over every visible face about 12 * 12 grid

To get about 30000 + polygons (without using smooth or mesh smooth)

 

I can already tell how well light travels on your models by looking at it

I think there is high polygons but there is an improper smoothing process.

 

please show a wireframe of one of your models and we'll see

LOL

 

The problem about that is that Zmodeler has a pretty weird 3DS Importer

 

it takes away some smoothing groups and unwelds the vertices that were welded before in 3Ds Max

thats why some of my weapons look weird in IV

 

also the M4 of IV is not High Poly its more Med Poly

i make everything from scratch i dont modify IV's models

 

even IV's Models are not fully welded

 

i can go to element mod and select the stock and delete it and make one from scratch and done

if not then ill select it with face mode

There's more to change than just the stock. For example, the GTA IV M4 has an RIS rail on the handguard, and the handguard must be almost twice as long. If you don't know what an RIS is, I'll explain it to you.

There's more to change than just the stock. For example, the GTA IV M4 has an RIS rail on the handguard, and the handguard must be almost twice as long. If you don't know what an RIS is, I'll explain it to you.

I know that i didnt mention it because its more easy to do that than the stock

So do I, I just made a badass flamethrower for Marco from scratch.

 

It was like 38000 polygons

 

just have to make a good textures for it and be done with it

 

also have to make even more polygons for the normal map and create the specular map too.

The name, "Fighter" suggests that it could've been one of the following:

 

A jet with rockets or guns.

 

A Dodo with miniguns and slightly different handling.

Fail, its not. Its just the Beta or Untextured version of that ugly Asshole plane.

Well, i tried this one it got tons of bugs + i can't even access it dozingoff.gif

I'll convert the GTA San Andreas Dodo myself, just that ZModeler 2 driving me nuts. It seems there won't come any alternative for it soon, so i'll have to mess around with this garbage. whatsthat.gif

I decided to request a lock for this topic, since i do not want to continue this mod anymore.

This not means the mod is totally dead, i maybe decide to work on it again sometime.

 

If you find any problems/have questions you still can post on the gtagarage topic. icon14.gif

 

When EFLC for PC gets released, then there are hopefully more tools available and i gonna start working on a EFLC Beta Mod with a new team icon14.gif
