Unfortunately, I can't support all the natives for patch 5 because its taking a lot of manual work to workaround the changes, so if any you guys are using natives that are not in Scripting.h, better speak up now if you want them to be supported.

@deadsuitman, a bit of LOL, he is referring to game native commands, not mods that you are running. This is an appeal to mod creators to provide a list of natives that are not in the default scripthook list of natives.

Well, naturally I’d like everything supported. lol. (your call)

So far I’ve just been using functions that are in scripting.h, to build up a set of

higher level procedures for making missions, but you never know what you’ll need.

(I’ll post a few here, as I figure them out)

What exactly do you mean by natives?

 

I’m a little more worried about having this used again to cheat online and

R* being even more aggressive on future patches or DLC release.

I use xliveless anyways, so I’m only SP.

This is the only forum where you see people talking openly about using trainers and such for MP online and nobody says a word.

Other online games see cheaters as lower than dirt and get crapped on, even in forums. /rant.

Have you considered disabling online use?

I have already named ~2100..2200 from ~2900 (Including natives from TLaD tounge.gif )

If nothing unexpected happens, tomorrow will be (almost) complete list.

 

Is this format ok ?

Online use is mostly disabled. It's only enabled for LAN and unranked Party/Freeroam modes which is sometimes fun.

 

However, there is a version of this ScriptHook that was forked off the source code when this project used to be opensource (It was opensource in hope that someone would learn something from it), and the authors of that don't seem to care about online gameplay nor about Rockstar's attempts to keep cheaters at bay. They have completely ignored my requests to add online checking to it, and IMHO, the only true benefit their hook provides over this is the lack of online checks. So there isn't much that I can do about that anymore except carefully reconsider what I release as opensource in the future.

If you read the rest of the thread you will see that many have already asked this exact same question. Also, it is not a trivial task to do and I am sure he knows that currently it doesn't work.

The next version of ScriptHook (0.4) is almost complete. I'm just tweaking things, writing up some documentation and testing with a few compiled scripts out there. So give it a day or two for a beta to show up here, and then another few days for the final release.

 

Quite a bit has changed... there are quite a few functional and performance improvements as well as some breaking API changes (very minor and easy to work around). Regardless of these changes, it should still maintain compatibility with older compiled ASIs.

 

Thanks to listener's list of natives mixed in with ~2000 or so I generated for patch 5, we now have compiled a complete list, so there should be no problem on what natives are supported for patch 5. (Everyone thank listener for his time well spent smile.gif)

 

Even thought it may give us a hard time, we should appreciate Rockstar's efforts to target and stop multiplayer cheating. Just think about it... there are quite a few game developers out there that just don't care about a game after it has been released and your money has been pocketed. That being said, ScriptHook 0.4 will continue to be supported for multiplayer LAN and Party/Freeroam modes only.

Aru and Listener, you both show that your dedication to the community is strong and that without people like you things would be pretty boring. Now we can bring back some fun in both modes. I hope that Rockstar realizes that Party/Freeroam modes should be what they are, for fun, they aren't even ranked.

Perhaps they should listen less to the whiners out there complaining about nothing. If they want to kill people so much they should play Deathmatch or Team Deathmatch, it's what those modes are for.
