I just got a new HDTV with my HDMI cable and the AA in GTA IV still seems horrid. The shadows and all edges look bad. Not "OMFG WAT HAV THEY DONE TO TIS GAMEEEE" bad, but still a little sub par. Is this a problem with the actual game or a problem with my tv?

Depends. Is your TV doing any resolution scaling or is the console giving it a picture at the same resolution as the screen? On my 360 the console is set to "optimum resolution" which is a lot sharper because the TV gets a signal similar to a PC.

GTA IV does have kind of a paint texture filter that gives shadows a splattery edge. If that's what you're seeing you just have to get used to it.

See my other suggestions.
