I have extracted Xlive.dll and copyxliverecources.exe to my GTA IV folder, ran that copyrecources file, put the save the correct folder, and the game dosent load, anybody know why? I was using patch 3 before, then I attempted to downgrade to patch 2, and still cant do this. Anybody know?

I re-installed my game a few hours ago but i look in the rockstar/gtaiv folder and the savegame folder didn't install or is missing! The file isn't hidden I am running Windows Vista home basic x86(32-bit)

I need to know how the folder is set up and A copy of the control map.dat file.

Hi there

I also can not get GTA IV PC to run after loading xlive.dll into the gta folder. I am running vista. If I delete xlive.dll the game works but then when I try to load the saved game it does not work? Is that what you meant by xliveless? I do not care about online/multiplayor I just want to play the game. I see the game in my gamefolder but it will not load?

any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance for replies

There isn't a way. You can play the cracked game online, but you can't play online with a modified xlive.dll. It's doable but nobody cares enough to do it evidently.

Also what's with people posting here just to say they don't approve? That's kind of over self-conscious. We're glad you think your ideals should apply to us all, now stfu.

It is possible because I remember getting achievements because of these saves. But then I did a reinstall of the os (windows 7 64) but then couldnt get it to work again. sad.gif

All that I had to do was load the downloaded save once using the xlive wrapper, save once, then exit, remove the wrapper and load the save again. It works and I can play online with it too.

Yeah that works. I was trying to remember why I wasn't using it but forget. Is there a 1.0.4.0 version?

1.0.4.0 version of the Xlive wrapper? I'm not sure about Xliveless but I'm still using the Xlive by Rick that was made for the first patch. It still works for me. But I think there is a new Xliveless version. Use the search function to find the topic.

OK, these wont work at all, because even I have xLive, or an AsiLoader, but I need xLive for the savegame, and AsiLoader for EFC20 fix, any sugestions? PLEASE HELP, I can't pass Clean Getaway because of bug. HELP ME OUT! rampage_ani.gif

I don't think you need the EFC20 fix if you're running the game from RGSC. And the bug in Clean Gateway seems to be an anti-piracy trigger. Are you sure you've a legit copy of the game and are not using a no-cd crack?

Machinma people can just set the unlocked islands stat to 3 from the hook and go everywhere right off; one function call. I don't think you can properly set up save houses yet though; also there are two mission skipping functions but they're 'dirty' and you gotta do a lot of work to get the values they also take setting up with a delay. After looking at the code I get the impression they where left dirty intentionally.

I've done an asi for some people at machima.com that does a lot of stuff.

Also does anyone else get annoyed by people who come in save game threads all across the net and invest time in going on self-righteous spouts about why they think you should not use save games?

xlive does a hash check on the saves and xliveless just patches a single call in the DLL. How the author thinks anyone is going to use his mod to cheat is beyond me; the g4 hook does many times what would be capable with his DLL and can be readily downloaded and even has templates and native calls mapped. They are just punishing legitimate users whith there own narcissistic bs.

Also to people who I wont reference by name: ASprotect didn't work.

Hey there, first of all, thanks so much for uploading all these saved games. Its great for people who want to continue from where they left off before

Here's my question, if I have a Jack Sparrow (pirated =P) GTA 4 game, do I have to patch if up to version 1.01 for the saved game to work?

Any chance of getting these links working again? I did 17% of the game, but some of the files became corrupted. The nearest I can get my savegame back is Jamaican Heat which is way behind my progress sad.gif
