Rockstar has temporarily disabled Clip Capture feature for users with less than 1.8Gb memory, in the second patch they will turn this feature back on. also there will be a fix for the sound/camera/cursor bugs as I already said. If they just totally disregarded it and never patched it they would look like giant douche bags and it will hurt there sales pretty big. How-To-Improve-GTA-IV Posted January 5, 2009 Share Posted January 5, 2009 I have to play this game with medium textures, maximum anisitropic filtering and all other options to the minimum to have at least 25 fps in ALL situations (consoles are much weaker and can handle more...). That's how they do it in Asia, And if you all have forgotten so soon, Remember that gta4 was also a laggy pos when they released it for xbox and ps3 and it took them a while to patch it because they know all those 13 year old kids couldn't really get out there and spread the word that the game is laggy crap like pc users. Erm not sure what you are basing that on, last time I checked the console equivalent settings were :- res - 1280 x 720 @ 30fps Max. texture quality - Medium render quality - low Draw Distance - 20 Detail Distance - 10 Vehicle Density - 33 Now from what you just said it sounds to me as if you are playing it way past the consoles specs. Btw we will add real options for changing graphics so you can actually optimize the game instead of having child locked graphics control's. Also they are going to add dedicated servers and anti cheat for online. Trust me rockstar cares and wants to make a game up to par with everything that has come out in the last 3 years for pc.
