I really don't like the radio channels in San Andreas, there's some good songs from Radio X,K-DST,SF-UR and Mastersounds ...what kind of music do yuo want in the game!?

Acually I want 80s music cool.gif

I know this is a unnecessary thread , but it felt that i wanted to write some sh*t!

I wanted to intensify the feeling that the game is set in 1992, so I made a playlist of the top 40/top 100 from that year and loaded it into the custom radio station on the Xbox. Having something awful come on like Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You was very realistic for radio back then. biggrin.gif

My San Andreas iMix on iTunes

The only good song in SA was Rise Against the Machine - Killing in the name of and Danzig - Mother.

That would be Rage Against the Machine icon14.gif

My favourites are from Dust and R X and i guess, from that setting, i wouldn't ask for anymore than that.

R* have done brilliantly well covering everyones interests and all genres.

True. Rockstar did their best to shut up all the moaners saying the genres are "unfair" and that one has gotten more than another. The thing that annoys me is these who don't like rap automatically talk sh*t about the soundtrack because rap is a bit common in the soundtrack. I personally think SA's music is thousand times better than Vice City's.

Of course, I would love more chatting stations. Maybe 3, like in GTA4.

Then more country music, and more music of K-DST style.

Then probably the classics station would be OK, although not necessary.

Obvisouly, less rap, or at least some good rap, not what's in SA.

Less rap? There was only 2 stations and that's considered much for you? Plus what was wrong with the rap in SA? What are you looking for? Nothing better than what is there already, for me at least.

Two is too much. There is only one statino for every other style, mind you. And there are lots of better examples of contemporary rap on the market. I suppose we are talking about any kind of music, because if we are only talking of pre-1992 stuff, then maybe there wasn't anything better back then.

GTA VC and 4 had at least 2 talking stations, and that's what SA lacked.

Yeah I never really listen to talk stations because I don't pay attention to the words they say otherwise I guess I could listen to them all day because it's so hilarious. And two is not too much! There was also two rock stations (one classic and one metal). Plus the game is mainly centered around the ghetto and there rap music is popular so it kinda made sense.

Yeah, I know, I guess that was the reason why they emphasised the rap so much. Makes sense.

It would be kinda weird if the game only had one rap station with rap like "The Breaks" by kurtis blow. So R* used song which talked about the ghetto and life in the ghettos like "Hood Took Me Under" by CMW.

major underscore

I only listen to the hip hop/rap/whatever stations during the first Los Santos part of the game since it suits the atmosphere. After that it's mostly K-DST and some Mastersounds for me. If I don't play Custom tracks, that is.

Overall the great thing about the Grand Theft Auto soundtracks is that the music really fits well with the themes of the games, especially in VC, VCS and San Andreas.

Actually, there is only 1 rap station which is of course Radio Los Santos. Playback FM is Old School Hip Hop.

Same goes with K-DST and Radio-X. People who dont listen to any type of music with a guitar will say there are two radio stations. Same goes with people who dont listen to anything with that rap style beat. They think its the same, but its not.

RLS is a Rap and Hip Hop Radio Station, where Playback is Old School Hip Hop.

K-DST is a Classical Rock Radio Station, where Radio-X is an Alternative Radio Station.

Well I'm a Metal and Rock guy cool.gif

I liked Radio X (Rage against the Machine - "Killing in the name of", Guns N' Roses - "Welcome to the Jungle, Ozzy Osbourne - "Hellraiser", Alice in Chains - "Them Bones" and Danzig - "Mother"

K-DST (Well all of them, but more specifically Toto - "Hold the Line", Heart - "Barracuda", Kiss - "Strutter", Rod Stewart - "Young Turks", Tom Petty - "Runnin' Down a Dream", Grand Funk Railroad - "Some Kind of Wonderful", Lynyrd Skynyrd - "Free Bird", America - "A Horse With No Name", The Who - "Eminence Front", David Bowie - "Somebody Up There Likes Me", Eddie Money - "Two Tickets to Paradise" and Billy Idol - "White Wedding")

I kind of liked Bounce FM (Zapp - "I Can Make You Dance"), K-Jah West (Black Harmony - "Don't Let It Go To Your Head"), K Rose (Desert Rose Band - "One Step Forward", Eddie Rabbitt - "I Love a Rainy Night"), Master Sounds (Harlem Underground Band - "Smokin' Cheeba Cheeba"), Playback FM (Big Daddy Kane - "Warm It Up, Kane", Spoonie Gee - "The Godfather", Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock - "It Takes Two", Ultramagnetic MCs - "Critical Beatdown), Radio Los Santos (2Pac (feat. Pogo) - "I Don't Give a f*ck"), SF-UR (Mr. Fingers - "Can You Feel It?")
