Does your pc experience look 1999?

Im kind of wery disapointed on the graphic quality the pc version gives me, i cant tell if its my computer or if it shall simply look "this way" at max globaly?

"this way" if so..is way crappier than San Andreas, even GTA 3 looks honestley nicer

PC gamer magazine atleast told me this is the most beautiful game in the world..so im suspicios on my equitment

 

So i need you to compare yours with my screenshots of settings below

one thing that may be the case is that i got a DVI wide-flatscreen by santa this christmas, and lets say that im not convinced yet that 1680 x 1850 improved for games

..just in some details, others looks almost worse in my point of view (which i dont trust on the other hand)

 

Number one that annoys me most is that i cant raise the texture quality setting to "high" how can i do that? (buy a better graphic card your lonitic)

everything else is almost as max and it didnt even slowdown the game a bit

cant get higher than 42 on distance thou, testing going down to 1280 x 1024 and it looks even turd

 

I have a Gefore Winfast PX8600 GTS DTH with "XFastest 185.20 WinXP32" installed

every setting in there happend to be on max, is 16X anisotropic filtering what you can see in this?

 

P.S it looks way nicer on this screens than on my live screen

So this is just basically another ranting topic then ? Tell you want feel free to buy the console version then see what you are complaining about.
